Very cool!
It's very well built. Changing the toilet paper roll takes a bit longer than usual. But it looks so amazing! I want another for my hall bathroom. Love it

This product is quality. It is finished well and is a solid piece of metal. If it were light weight it would take away from the authenticity. This is a really cool retro piece.

Not the easiest to change the paper
I bought this for a friend and she love's it.It is beautiful. It is solid. Definitely a conversation starter.I think that there are two downfalls for this. The first is that, as stated by another reviewer, it is not easy to change the toilet paper. It involves unscrewing the end, taking it apart, putting the paper on the dowel, getting the screws into it correctly and hoping that you don't cross thread them. Not a quick change and go.The second is the screws that come with the item. I had read in another review that the screws hadn't been included. In ours the screws had been included: they were four one inch long wood screws. Well, they were going to be of any use, so my husband had to get the plastic wall inserts, drill four holes because they don't fit into the holes already in the walls.Still, awesome looking paper holder and my friend loves it

Pretty design but cheap roller and bent front cover.
Really pretty design and made of heavy duty brass. But roller is not nice wooden roller in deceiving item photos on Amazon, but cheap and yellow and cardboard appearing. Also, front cover that overlies the roller is bent. Not happy with item for this price point. I’m hoping the seller contacts me to make this right!

I do not see what the problem is!
Prior reviewers have harped on the difficulty of loading paper in this contraption. Upon arrival, I reamed out the center holes with a circular file, cleaned up a few burrs, and applied some WD40 to the nut that must be unscrewed when changing paper., Time expended: perhaps 20 minutes. It takes less than 3 minutes to change paper. The only catch is that the roll has to be put in so as to dispense from the top. Not at all inconvenient, and the added effort, if any, is a small price to pay for the funk & charm. It is exceptionally well made!

Unique piece
Product is really unique. Easy to install & looks great in our guest bathroom. House is 100yrs old so the blend of eclecticism worked out great!

Great product and It Exceeded My Expectations
Beautifully made...It gives my bathroom a steam punk look. One bonus I never thought was toilet paper conservation. The brass metal flap rests on the top of the toilet paper so you can't spin the roll of paper. You can take what you need without having to with flush this huge wad of paper and it alleviates having to roll the paper back up onto the roll. Score!
