Root Candles Scented Beeswax Blend Hive Candle, 16-Ounce, French Vanilla

The candle is beautiful and I'm obsessed with the floral honey scent, but — BUT — the manufacturing is terrible. Pouring candles requires temperature control and a slow pour. This one is full of air bubbles, is separated from the glass, and tunnels like crazy. So it arrived “defective.” Very disappointing. I added photos (sorry some are sideways), they show it brand new, second use, and third use. 1/4” wick and 2-3 hour burn each time.

Best smelling candles ever. The essential oils they use give this a true to nature smell, no synthetic smells at all. The scent is strong, but not overwhelming at all like some Bath & Body works type candles. Sometimes I just leave the lid off without lighting it to get a gentle scent in the area. The beeswax is really nice and the candles lasted a good time. The wax melts evenly. I always trim the wick, and I've never had any issues with black smoke coming from the wick. I've purchased about four different scents and each of them are amazing. Highly recommend.

I originally discovered these candles in a hospital gift shop...it wasn't a scent I was interested in so I got online to do some research. I ultimately decided to place my order through Amazon. The candle arrived wrapped well. Though a little pricey, it's a beautiful candle and the smell is outstanding. It was a wonderful, well received Christmas gift. This is something I would definitely buy again.

It's big, it is made in Ohio, comes in a nice glass container, good value for money, and looks solid. But it SMELLS too strongly. I am very sensitive to chemical fragrances. The smell (honey-ish) is pleasant but too strong for me. I'll place it inside our fireplace (it's gas and I don;t like to use it, but would like some candlelight) so hopefully some of the smell will go up the chimney, but if you have asthma or allergies, go for an unscented variety.

Did love the scent. Did not care for the dirtiness of the wick.

This is the best candle to get rid of household cooking odors. I have loved this candle for years!

Best scent ever

It took awhile to find a beeswax/natural based candle in Canada since all the ones in the store seem to be made with paraffin. Vanilla is my favorite candle scent and Root created a beautiful, creamy vanilla scent that isn't fake or sweet. Purchased the small size to try, but will definitely be ordering more scents in the large size! Note, you can reuse the pretty glass jar with metal lid after your candle is used up.

Great/subtle smell

Very little fragrance.
