Simply Adorable Crochet: 40 of the Cutest Projects Ever

I feel like these are all very small projects, which can be nice. I got some new patterns that I will try out but I have seen cuter ones that are more complex. This is definitely good for someone starting their crochet journey with stuffed animals or little projects. I also love the binding where I don't have to struggle to keep the book open. I wish everyone would bind crochet books this way !

I just received this book in the mail today. It is beautiful! The format, layout, and instructions are all top notch. I haven't made any of the amigurumi yet, but I will soon! I have noticed that some of the amigurumi look different because they are not done "in the round" method. It is worth every penny because you get 40 beautiful and creative patterns. There are even Christmas patterns in this book.*Update*There are some pattern errors in the deer pattern. The information for the inner and outer ear are switched around in parts. This will definitely cause frustration for people who are beginners. I do hope that the publisher will post corrections soon.

The items in this book are adorable but if you are used to making them in the round this could get confusing, not to mention there is a lot of sewing and weaving ends. It should have been edited better. There are mistakes, the deer pattern has the ears switched. Inner is outer pattern. It also will tell you to repeat rows 3-12, then in the next sentence tell you to break yarn on row 10. So you will have to go with your instinct. A complete beginner might have trouble. It is a beautiful book, with lovely photography and being spiral bound it lays flat when you are working. The projects come out nice, but you have to enjoy fussing with them.

This books is filled with tons of cute animal patterns. Goats, kittens, puppies, bunnies, you name it. They are all small enough to make with scraps you have in your yarn stash.The book has both written crochet directions and graphed directions for each piece. The animals are made in flat pieces then sewn together which helps them stand well. I still used popcorn seeds at the bottom od my baby duck and then stuffed her to add some stability.I found the patterns quite easy to understand. I plan to make all the animals in the book. I think it will take all summer.

I'm very happy with this one. I have quite a few amigurumi boos, this in certainly in the top two of favorites. Very detailed iinstructions, from beginner to experienced, its complete and layed out to be a teaching tool, very nice.Thoughtwent into this book, and although it does include different methods, that's ok, I don't want to be limited in my learning of this craft. I can appreciate diversity.The designs are adorable, the book is deigned for ease of use, well constructed. I am impressed w attention to detail.

Book is super informative and has lots of step-by-step photos for those new to amigurumi. The book has plenty of projects for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced and is arranged according to technique, so as you progress through the projects you gain different skills. Each pattern has written instructions, photos, and a crochet chart, making it suitable for any language. This also allows for reference as you assemble the pieces. All of the projects are so cute and the designs different from patterns available online. A must-have for yarn lovers!

I like the book a lot- the designs are very cute and I've made several of them. I have Maki's other book as well (Cute Critter Crochet) and I believe the patterns in this book are not as clearly explained as in the other but can still be followed. Overall I think it's a great book and recommend it to anyone who enjoys crocheting.

A really nice book, nicely put together. Not too big or too small.... Spiral binder so your pattern page lays flat as you work. Very convenient!.......Adorable little animals and lots of sweet treats to whip up....as well as many other "natural" things like strawberries, flowers, leaves, Christmas items....and more.Patterns are well diagramed and easy to understand.

This is one of the most easiest books to follow, the instructions are clear and precise, and the accompanying diagrams are very helpful. The book explains all the stitches that are needed to create the projects along with all the necessary tools.I have made a few of the projects (easily done in hours) and they look really lovely.I would recommend this book to anyone contemplating purchasing this item.

I'm an advanced beginner at crochet. This book stitches are really confusing. They are supposed to be USA which I like but the stitches are explained differently to what I'm used to. Also it would be better if the stitches were explain in the actually pattern without having to go to another page to look up as I can't remember some of the stitches. So I've only given it a two. Yes the items are cute but I don't recommend this book to any of my crochet friends and they are not simply to make.

this book is amazing. There are so many projects I want to make and the patterns seem to be very clear. The wools used are American weights so I have downloaded a conversion chart from Google for free so it really isn't an issue. There isn't one thing I don't like in it. Extremely impressed with the way that these are so simply but impressively done.

I'm a fairly experienced crocheter, but I tried two patterns from this book (the duck and her chicks) and couldn't get either of them to work. The written instructions for the duck did not correspond to the stitch diagram and neither seemed to be correct. The chick pattern produced a very misshapen (elongated) head. At this point I gave up and threw the book out. I've since noticed that a number of the 'five-star' reviews for this book seem to have been given by people who hadn't tried out any patterns from it yet.

Well, I bought this book for my hubby for Christmas, and it really does do what it says on the 'tin'. It really is the most adorable collection of crochet animals ever. Even my hubby thought the animals are cute and is keen to start making them and I can't wait either! Really would recommend this book.
