Bought these Evan’s drum heads to replace the “stock” heads that came with my Pearl Road Show seven piece drum kit. I wanted more durable heads, but more than anything I wanted a deeper, richer, more low bass type sound like you’d hear in a Metallica sound. I was absolutely amazed at the tone difference after installing these Evan’s UV2 coated heads! Did exactly what I wanted and they sound amazing!

70 year old hobby drummer here, playing ranges from rock to light rock using 2A Vic Firth wooden tip sticks. These are perfect for me. Bought to replace my clear Gretsch snare and two mounted tom heads. Rugged and holding up well.

These are the only drum heads my drummer son uses. He plays the heck outta them and replaces them a few times a year. They sound great and easy to install.

My son is a drummer and has been playing for about three years. He was gifted a drum set last year and had gone through 3 snare heads since he got the drum set. The reviews on this Evans head are spot on. This snare head takes a licking' and keeps on ticking! I Definitely recommend it!

It's difficult to find the perfect drum head just by shopping and reading and even hearing demos. After installing it on my snare drum and adjusting the microphone it has that great quality sound. Wish it was a little quieter however with my sound system when I record I use my headphones and adjust the volume and tweak the tone of the snare drum and overall I get a great sound. I will purchase Moon gel to soften the overtones which are not too bad.

Normalerweise bestell ich Musikartikel nie bei Amazon, aber da es das Fell bei den Musik-Onlinehäusern (Thomann, Music-Store) nicht gab, hab ich es hier bestellt. Fell war innerhalb von 2 Tagen bei mir. Auf meine TAMA Black Brass Snare darufgepackt, gestimmt und ich muss sagen: Ich bin begeistert. Hatte vorher ein EVANS EC Reverse Dot, welches vom Sound sehr ähnlich angelegt ist. Das Heavyweight hat aber noch einmal mehr Low-End, Punch und Attack und ist nochmal haltbarer. Und trotzdem ist der Fell noch lebendig und hat Obertöne, die aber nicht negativ auffallen. Dämpfen ist also nicht notwendig. Dynamisches Spielen ist auch möglich, weil die Ansprache sehr direkt ist. Die Haltbarkeit muss erst noch getestet werden, aber bei der Dicke mach ich mir da keine Sorgen. Für alle, die also einen fetten Rock-Sound suchen, kann ich dieses Fell nur empfehlen.
