Denso234-4153 Oxygen Sensor

Very good price for a genuine Denso O2 sensor, came with gasket, perfect fit for my 97 Landcruiser.

2000 Toyota 4Runner would not complete Catalyst Monitor test. Did drive cycle multiple times but never completed so could not get Cal smog cert. Finally bought this and installed, Cat test completed in 5 mins! No error codes were showing before or after, so old sensor was ‘working’ but probably too slow to respond. Replace this on your V6 Toyota before trying drive cycles.

I replaced both O2 sensors in my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. The new one looks exactly like the one from Factory. It works great. No more occasional codes.Note: There was NO improvement in gas mileage. Don't waste your time and money replacing them if you want to increase your gas mileage.

1998 Toyota 4 runner

Had a check engine code of P0420 related to the function of the catalytic converter on a 95.5 Tacoma 2.4Ltr 2wd automatic pick up truck. Since the truck had 163,000 miles on it I decided to replace both the up stream and down stream o2 sensors with Denso OEM type sensors to see if that was the problem. After soaking the extremely rusty nuts in solvent, I used an easy out to remove what was left of the nuts. Surprisingly, the mounting studs were still in good condition. I bought some new metric SS nuts from the local hardware store and replaced both sensors. It's been 2 weeks now since clearing the CEL and the code has not returned. Both sensors were perfect fits, came with gaskets, and plugged right into the connectors with no problem. The sensor (234-4153) referenced in this review is the down stream one. The up stream sensor is a 234-4162.I would recommend this product to a friend and it was the best price I could find anywhere.JW

Did exactly what I needed it to do!FITMENT NOTE: this will fit your 3rd gen NON-California emissions 4Runner. In my case, I have a 99 4Runner Limited 2WD. Non-California emissions version (you can tell by the number of catalytic converters in the exhaust run; non-Cali has only ONE, whereas the Cali emissions versions will have TWO - make sure you do not confuse a cat for a muffler!).This O2 sensor fits in the spot AFTER the single cat (downstream). The wire is just long enough to reach the stock mounting location. Note that the part # 234-4162 is NOT long enough to reach the stock location! Use that only for the front of the cat (upstream).

Worked perfectly on my 3rd gen 1999 Toyota 4Runner 3.4l v6 4x4 auto trans. OEM DENSO is the ONLY thing recommended on these trucks as I have heard that other brand sensors can cause problems. Always go with OEM for any sensor. These also came with the gasket that goes between this and your exhaust pipes. I put new sensors in for a fraction of what the dealership would charge, and my truck is running perfect again! Very happy! It should be noted that this is the downstream sensor.

Nice to be able to use OEM quality parts at a reasonable price that fits the requirements. Also Denso delivered promptly and the customer Help department was top notch, nice to deal with knowledgeable and friendly people. I highly recommend this supplier.

This sensor fit perfectly was less than half the cost of a dealer and works great...no more check engine light.
