Solid option for non-electric sit/standing desk
Summary: Practical, no-fuss desk frame with very clear instructions.I was looking for a desk frame that utilized a manual crank instead of an electric motor so I could save money, get (a little bit) of exercise, and minimize complexity. Plus, having a manual crank means I can use my desk without power. I purchased just the desk frame (without a desk top) since I wanted to stain and finish my own butcher block. I ended up purchasing a Hardwood Reflections European Walnut 6 ft. piece and used Varathane oil-based stain and a stain Varathane oil polyurethane finish (4 coats, though if I hadn't messed up it would have been 2 coats).Value: The price is competitive with market leaders like Fully Jarvis, and the quality seems to be very good so far (I just finished the desktop and assembled it yesterday).Quality: 3/4 - The metal legs are plenty sturdy. The hand crank is lightweight but works well. PLEASE NOTE: This hand crank extends, so please be aware of this when you assemble this. This is an excellent design, as it allows you to mount the hand crank such that it is out of the way under the desk when not needed, yet is instantly available when needed. The fasteners provided are of surprisingly good quality and are not cheap metal. The heads are well formed and resist stripping. The only reason I am giving three stars for quality instead of four is more of a quality control issue: the main telescoping crossbar I originally received was defective. I could extend the crossbar but could not contract it.Customer Service: 4/4 - No one wants to have to contact customer service. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I contacted Customer Service as I found them prompt and professional. I explained the problem I was experiencing with the part, and they shipped me a replacement without requiring a return of the defective part via express mail. The replacement part functioned as designed.Ease of assembly: 4/4 - The instructions are some of the best I've seen from any company. They are very clear, and provide helpful information such as the size of drill bits to use when drilling pilot holes and driving the included fasteners (screws).

Solid mechanicle desk
I've been wanting a convertible standing desk for awhile due to working from home for long periods of time. I wanted something reliable (mechanical), sturdy at standing position, and enough room to support my 3 monitors, midtower gaming PC, and various peripherals. After searching a few models while reading descriptions and reviews, this one seemed to be sturdy and well built. It also wasn't overly priced. I also bought the VIVO Black 60 x 24 inch Universal Table Top as the desk top. It pairs perfectly, only a few holes needed to be drilled. This review is based on this pairing. The width of the table top and legs of the frame can impact performance. Here is my review:This mechanical desk paired with the VIVO table top has met my desires. The metal desk frame appears to be decent quality with a little heft to it. This is important for stability. I am 6'4'' and the desk can reach a comfortable height setting with height to spare. At my standing height, the desk does lose a tiny bit of stability but not enough to warrant worry. I fully trust it with a few thousand dollars worth of equipment. The mechanical crank is a breeze to operate and neatly tucks away. Bonus, it also doubles as a headphone hanger. The time it takes to crank this to desired height is approximately 25 seconds with a speed that doesn't make the desk shake. The crank does have some resistance. I also have this desk placed on carpet and stability doesn't seem to suffer for it. It may make leveling a bit interesting, but I was able to level the desk using the adjustable feet.Something else to consider is the customer service. I reached out for a replacement crank to experiment with creating my own motor. VIVO customer service was very prompt and respectful in helping me obtain an extra crank.Overall this seems like a good company and a good product. I am pleased with my purchase so far.

Great deal base, works perfect.
Great base for a desk, allows me to fit a full size 88-key keyboard underneath! Easy to crank and adjust to standing height

Build like a tank. This frame is SOLID.
I spent months trying to find a desk for my desktop computer that would take all my stuff and fit the space better than what I had been living with. I was looking for something around 70 inches, that was just a simple plain rectangle and not too deep. I couldn't find anything that fit, at least anything that was affordable or didn't come with a large number of so so to bad reviews. So I opted to try to build what I wanted.I didn't really intend to use this as a stand up desk...but it definitely turns out to be a nice feature, that I may call upon from time to time, but for the most part, I use this desk as a sitting desk. The top of the frame was the same height as my previous desk @ 29 inches. With the wood counter top I purchased for the top, the top of the desk to 30.5 inches. I'm reasonably tall (but shrinking in my old age 69 yrs old) I'm now 5'7". It's not the height of the person (like some reviews have insinuated) it's the height of the chair. Mine is at it's lowest setting...not high at all. I actually find the table height for me is perfect. It takes the stress off my wrists when keyboarding. I have enough room under the table to use an Exerpeutic 900 ExerWork Under the Desk Bike without having to raise the desk. The frame itself comes very well packaged. It's heavy and VERY sturdy. It's easy to put together. It only took me 15-20 minutes to get the frame ready for adding the top and that was with a few breaks to watch the news on TV. The instructions are easy to follow. A previous reviewer posted that to use the handle to raise and lower the legs you need to keep the legs 60 inches or less apart. This is true. The part the controls this does not extend beyond 60 inches. It's no problem however. My top is 72 inches...and this leaves a six inch overhang on either side of the table. I have my desktop computer next to one edge and it's sitting with the frame running right under it. It is solid. I think I will be adding something under the top to control the wires and cables. There is plenty of room under the top to add a drawer, or place a set of drawers under it.I could not be happier with how this turned out. I just have to wait until I can open the windows to finish the desk top. Yes I would recommend this frame. If you are under 5'6' you may find the frame is a bit high. If you are worried about the height, I'd suggest an adjustable office chair. Mine doesn't go up anymore (very old) but I didn't need it. If you are under 5'6' you may find the frame is a bit high but the right chair should fix that.

solid
Usually height adjustable stand up desks cost a fortune and then the electric ones tend to break after a while. I bought this and adjusted it to the worktop from another desk, works like a charm.I don't get why people complain that this is too high, I am 5'7 and I don't have a problem, actually it can be adjusted lower than what I need. If you're not sure, I would suggest you try this before splashing on something more expensive, chances are it won't even cross your mind to send it back once you see how solid it is.

Great quality, good value. I just wish it was 2" shorter at the shortest
2" shorter at it's shortest would make it 4" shorter at the highest, I realize that. But this thing goes so high it would be totally fine to make that trade. But yeah, it's a tad too high at it's lowest. After raising my chair I just have to have a foot rest now under my desk. So that's my only feedback.Other than that, you can't go wrong at ALL with this thing!! It's so well built, great value for $250, and I love that it's a hand-crank one. Let's save some electricity!! Well done guys! Great product!! :) Very happy customer. If you make a version that is 2" shorter, I'll buy it! Thank you!!

Legit chunky
Really solid, action is smooth. Check your measurements thoroughly first and take your time lining up the top before attaching - it's easy to get it wrong and end up with the winch handle too far in or out. But once it's up, it works beautifully and is built like a tank.
