LED

Our new house had loads of 50W halogens all through the house (over 10 in just a kitchen area).Replaced them with these 5W Yafido GU5.3 LED Bulbs and happy so far. They should pay back in lower energy use in a year but we at least don't mind leaving the lights on a bit more especially since its winter time.Light is almost the same - colour is almost identical (yellowish) to the halogens.I thought I may have to replace the transformers to LED one's but so far I have had no flickering or anything.I have been using these for a week or so now and none have failed - so far so good and fingers crossed they last!

Bought to replace the Amazon Basic bulbs purchased a few years back which are now beginning to fail. Quite disappointing really. They are a much yellower light than their predecessors which were also descibed as 'warm white' and that is quite noticeable when placed next to the older ones. My biggest disappointment though, is that the angle of beam seems very wide indeed and hence you don't get any 'downward specific lighting' effect. The LEDs themselves are mounted on the flat surface of the bulb whereas the older ones directed the light through some sort of internally reflective tube. They may be more efficient but you sacrifice the spotlight effect.Which brings me to the last point. The Amazon listing mentions the angle of beam as 120°. Can that really be called a spotlight? I must admit that I read the description 'spotlight' and ordered, but if it was described as a 'wide-beam' I would have looked elsewhere.

At first we thought just one bulb was affected - the light was very bright and began to flicker. However, as time has passed and we used more of them - one is very dim, and three others also flicker. We are going to bin the remaining ones. I don't believe that these bulbs would have passed our electrical standards - they were made in China and are described as MR16 not G5. Unfortunately the return date has passed.

I was nervous about these LED bulbs as they weren't a major brand and i didnt know the seller. They were delivered on time and well packaged. So far (3 weeks) the bulbs work great and they are really bright. The vendor even sent me through instructions to check that they would work okay with my existing fittings along with what to do if they didnt (but they did). all good

Each bulb individually well-packaged, and then all 10 securely packed in an outer box. All 10 completely undamaged. One flickered slightly, but switching it to a different fitting resolved it (maybe bulb or transformer was on the spec limit?) Used in a conservatory kitchen/diner to replace halogens, some of which and blown. These LEDs have a much wider beam, so the lighting is now far more even across the room - very happy so far!

The LED bulbs arrived promptly and were well packaged. I bought them as replacements for halogen spotlights in my bathroom and had worried about flicker before buying. However the bulbs seem flicker free and after a couple of days use appear to work well. They are significantly brighter than the 35w halogen bulbs they replace. However one of six of the bulbs in the box did not work.

Delivered on time better than expected would recommend to anyone as you cannot obtain this on the high street At this price
