Best All-Day Boot Socks
I wear heavy, steel-toed boots for 10 hours a day, five days a week. Wearing boots all day causes all kinds of discomfort, including being too hot, too cold, too tight, too loose, blistering, odor, dampness, achiness, and itching. It's unpleasant. These socks solve nearly all of those problems. The wool/silk blend is excellent at moderating temperature. I am almost never too warm or too cold. If I do sweat, the breathability wicks the moisture away as much as the boot allows. Even on 80 degrees days when I take off my boots at the end of the day, my socks are dry and comfortable (and odor free). The seamless construction is comfortable and prevents blistering. They're thick enough to provide a light layer of padding, but aren't too bulky. I can even wear pair several days in a row without any problems if I am camping.I have about 10 pairs, between a few months and several years old and they all look nearly new, very little wear at all and no problems with the construction. I threw away all my other pairs of socks. Highly recommended for military/police boot wearers.

Hard to Imagine a Better Sock!
I have been wearing these socks for more years than I can remember and for my purposes they are the best sock ever made. They fit perfectly, keep my feet warm without sweating, don't have the wool itch that other socks have, and last for a long time. The combination of high quality materials along with the Spandex keeps the socks comfortable over their life and they never stretch out or fall down. I wore other Wigwam socks before they made the Merino/Silk Hiker and I found those to be of high quality also. I wear these socks every day in 110 degree temps down to sub-zero temps and they are reliable and comfortable. They are the kind of clothing item you never have to think about or worry about because they are always there doing exactly what they are supposed to do - keeping your feet dry and warm.

I love hiking, but I HATE cold weather. I wore these socks hiking all last winter and my toes never went numb. I even walked through 2 different creeks on two different (cold) days without waterproof shoes. After I passed the creek, I would pull the sock off, wring out all the water, put it back on and continue my several mile hike. Even soaked in cold water they kept my feet comfortable enough to finish the hike. I don't normally have problems with stinky socks, but even after hiking in wet socks these never developed a foul smell. Winter hiking used to be out of the question, but thanks to these socks I have extended my hiking season throughout the year. These socks are very much worth the price for someone who hates the cold but has to be outside.

Top Quality Socks - Perfect for Hiking/Backpacking!
I bought a few pairs of these for a trip overseas and after a year away, I am happy to report that these socks have been absolutely delightful in terms of quality, feel, and reliability. Also, it's a bit on the rank side, but a side benefit I discovered was that these socks never stink! There were a few times I was out in the middle of nowhere, far away from anywhere to wash my stuff, so I had to use them a few days in a row. Even after hiking for miles, day after day, these socks never got funky like cotton socks do. Quite a bonus! And with washing in mind, always be sure to hand wash these or, if you need to use a machine, remember to use the delicate wash. I accidentally threw a pair in a normal wash and they took quite a beating. In the end...one of the best pairs of socks out there. Highly recommended!

MADE in the USA! And SOOO Warm. Worth the price!
Do not hesitate to BUY these socks. You will not regret it. They are worth every penny; so soft, thick, and WARM. I have cold feet - so cold that I cannot sleep. I ordered some oversize socks so that I could put them in the washer and dryer. They keep my feel so warm - I have just ordered more. I am sleeping. Zzzzzz. Moreover, they are great during the day.I have so many other socks that promise warmth and they are in a drawer. My Wigwam's are on the top of the dresser ready to grab. Wigwam Men's Merino/Silk Hiker Sock Wigwam Men's Merino/Silk Hiker Sock work fine for women - just adjust the size. If you are not concerned about color, scroll over the colors to find lower prices. I am very pleased that I finally found these socks. The fact that they are made in the USA makes them perfect.

My favorite socks
Have been wearing Wigwam socks exclusively for over 15 years. I used to wear SmartWool, but I found the price and durability of the Wigwam products to be better. Some people like thin dress socks......not me. Cushy, heavyweight socks that breath and don't make my feet stinky are what works. They come in a number of color choices. Wigwam Merino socks fit the bill to a "T". I get about two years worth of use of of them, worn 1 time a week, 52 weeks a year, and they hold up perfectly(as a matter of fact, they have a two year performance guarantee). I have yet to find a better sock, and they are made in the USA.

Great merino wool socks. They'll keep your feet comfy and dry.
These socks are super comfortable and were great on a recent trip to Spain where I did a ton of walking. My feet stayed comfortable and dry the entire time. Like most merino wool products, they also do a great job of repelling odors as well. I've worn several different brands of merino wool hiking socks (Smartwool, REI, Wooly), and these are definitely the most comfortable of all the pairs I've worn over the years. The socks themselves seem well constructed, but only time will tell if they really hold up. The main issue I've had with other merino wool socks is durability, but so far so good.

Best work socks
I've owned these socks for a couple of years. They hold up to regular use in rubber boots on a farm with frequent washing to remove mud. After two years they still stay up in the rubber boots unlike any other sock I've tried. The wool has become stiffer but is still strong, quite comfortable and not scratchy. They are well cushioned when new. I'm on the northern CA coast where it gets below freezing on a only a few days of the year. In those conditions, these are warm socks. I can wear them in warmer weather (65F) too. I've just ordered another five pairs to replace other (non-wigwam) socks that fall down and lose their elastic (after six months). I expect this is the only sock I'll buy for work use from now on.

Excellent socks!
If these socks weren't so expensive i would fill my drawer with them. They are great. I went on a 5 day hiking/camping trip and must have worn these for at least 3 of the days although i could have worn them for the whole time. They are comfortable in my boots and don't slide around after a long hike. The merino wool is great for keeping the stench of cheesy feet away and even after the 3 days i wore them a good long sniff revealed that they still smelled fine. They dried out really quickly too even after my boot leaked a bit after a failed stream jump. I left them to air in the tent's porch overnight and by morning they were good to wear again.Excellent socks although the bank account suffers a bit. Will definitely get some more once my cheaper hiking socks wear out as these ones will probably last forever as they are such great quality.

wigwam socks
My husband saw an advertisement for these socks and decided to try them he gives them 10 out of 10. They are the best socks he's ever worn good for all seasons and especially good for walking boots.
