Yes you can look at the sun at anytime with these. Image is white and sunspots are easy to see.

Can you use this if you wear eyeglasses?

Can it be mounted on a tripod?

876boy: on the 10x42's you will find a small plastic cap on the front of the "hinge" that allows you to adjust the inter-pupilary distance of the binocular (i.e. the distance between the eyepieces). You remove this cap to expose a threaded insert. It is here that you attach the screw on the top of a tripod adapter such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Celestron-93524-Binocular-Tripod-Adapter/dp/B003HC89LU The bottom of the tripod adapter has a similar threaded insert that you use to fasten the adapter to your tripod.

What is the angle of view (degrees)?

According to the package the angular field of view is 5.7 degrees. The linear field of view is 288 ft at 1000 yards, consistent with the stated angular field of view.
