Good dip net
When I originally bought this I had it as a replacement for when my other minnow/shad or shrimp net broke. Well, the time came and my other net snapped in two as they eventually always do. This replaced my aluminum net that was bought at that bass store. Now, for this net...Pros: light weight, affordable, and a decent sized handleCons: wood - will whither and eventually break also at times I feel as I may end up with a splinter but haven't yet, diameter in mesh net is a bit bigger than what I really want but it still catches bigger fresh water shrimp, sticker peeled off quickly leaving sticky feeling for several uses, where net bolts to handle is only held by a couple of screws or bolts so I added 2 more in it.The nets quality is decent for the price but I know as all my nets in the past it will eventually give out. When it does I just hope to have a replacement for when that time comes. The price on Amazon is far better than any of the local stores that sold similar. I may even get another one of these and I think right away I will cut some of the handle off. Since, I feel as having a shorter handle will help it from not breaking in half. I think removing 17 or so inches from the handle will be more for my use anyway. Finally, if your looking for a good all around minow net buy this one you won't have to many complaints about it for the price. If, it weren't for the price I'ld say its worthy of 4 stars but the price of it makes it a easy 5 stars for me.

Net is well attached but made of a fine material to be gentle on fish
I've also used this to catch a bird in the house, a chipmunk in the house, and about 50 carpenter bees that were infesting my eaves last year.Net is well attached but made of a fine material to be gentle on fish, so be careful getting it snagged on twigs and stuff or you may rip it.It's also several feet long, so don't get this for a kayak.

Nice
Much more durable than the telescoping one I purchased. This one will pay for itself with fish I collect for my aquarium. It's a little larger than my car trunk, so I'll have to store it elsewhere. I like to keep a net in the trunk in case I spot a new pond or lake while driving. Also have a bucket and battery operated pump in case there's something interesting...

good dipping net.
I am getting set up for the July shrimp run in Daytona, no, its not a car race. Anyway its a fine net good handle and net can be replaced if you WD the screws. I would also use this for skinny water bully netting.

Good buy
Great buy, wood is light allowing quick movement to catch minnows!Neck is easily bent so be careful but also easily repairable if so.
