Watch your depth setting!
This cutter is shorter than the 5mm and up cutters. To cut the proper depth mortise you will need to set your joiner for 15 mm. The 15mm setting would give you enough depth for a 30 mm tenon using a 6 mm cutter but only 10 mm with this cutter. Otherwise it does a great job. I think Festool added the 4 mm cutter and tenons as an afterthought so the depth setting on the domino joiner is not correct for this cutter.

Works flawlessly as expected
I ordered this bit to help join 1/2" thick x 7/8" wide slats on a mission night stand.Installation was easy and the cut was perfect. I will say that in small stock like this make sure you don't have the Domino set to any level of "slop" or you risk seeing the pockets after the piece is glued. Lucky for me I made some test pockets prior to working on the actual piece.Another nice feature of this bit is the vase it comes in. It protects the bit from the rest of the bits/cases floating around in the router bit tool drawer.

Nice small tenon cutter. Pefect for 1/2" stock
For years I had been frustrated that Festool had not come out with Domino Cutter that plunged less than 15mm. Before the 4mm cutter (which is shorter in length than the rest of the Festool cutters) one had to get creative to make a plunge stop, that was less than 15mm deep. But with the 4mm Cutter, you can easy join 1/2 stock for drawer boxes and the like, without the need for complex depth stops. Also the 4mm dominos are perfect addition to the line of domino tenons. thanks festool.

Great cutter if you need it
If you do small work like putting edging over the ends of Baltic birch plywood its great. The small 20mm dominoes don't go clear through the .5" 12.7mm edging and the cutter doesn't split hardwood (only ½ the length of the domino goes into each side).

Works well in my Domino XL
