Time is important
My wife has limited vision and can no longer read a clock...any clock (including a wall clock). However she wants to know the time, day of the week and date. This wrist watch provides that information at the touch of a single button. Press it once and get the time, press it again and get the date. It's simple to use and that's a big plus. It arrived already set up to the correct time and date, so she simply put it on and I explained how to use the single button and she was good to go. This is actually her second talking watch. The first one had 4 buttons with the lower two used for setting the time and the upper two triggered the time and date announcement. If she put the watch on with the wrong two buttons at the top rather than at the bottom, she would sometimes change the settings. With the single button feature it has been easier for her to use and so far she has not inadvertently reset the time or date. That is a great feature plus the appearance of the watch is pleasing to the eye. I'm glad I purchased this watch for her.

Stops working after a year
I've purchased two of these for my mom who has macular. The first one just stopped working after a year (and it wasn't the battery, we had that changed). The second one, the time on the watch does not match what the watch says and it's only been 7 months.

Made my mom happy to have a watch on again!
I ordered this watch for my mom. She is legally blind and wears two hearing aids. With the large face, she can see the time under a bright light. It looks more like a mans watch, but I think that is because of the large face and band. She always like expansion bands it's large on her wrist though, she doesn't want me to make it smaller she said it's easier to get on without pinching her. The woman's voice is hard to understand, and I didn't see in the instructions how to just have the mans voice. She does need to hold it up to her ear to hear what is being said, she doesn't mind doing that (she would of had to go to her nightstand and pick up her large numbered alarm clock to see the time). She has only had it for a few days, if things change I will update. All and all my mom is happy with the watch.

speech not good
The speakers need to be in the front not the back and it needs to be clearer

Nice time piece.
This is a nice watch. Here are the reasons I gave 4 stars, rather than 5: The set-up was difficult without instructions. BUT the instructions were found later. The watch comes inside a jeweler's pouch inside a box. The instructions were later found hidden in the bottom of the jeweler's pouch. You will have better luck with set-up if you search the bottom of the jeweler's pouch to find the instructions! The stem of the watch is stiff, so it is difficult for a 91-year-old blind lady to push. Also the voice is rather quiet. So this gets 4 out of 5 stars from me.

Talking Sound Not Very Loud
I thought this was the perfect answer for my sight-impaired mother; however, she is also hearing impaired, and this watch just isn't loud enough and volume can't be adjusted. It's also a little heavy for her tiny wrist. This might work great if someone is only sight impaired and has some meat on their bones but, sadly, I'll be returning it. Just not right for my mom. (I thought it was easy to set up, btw; read that others were hard to set.)

Hard to set up
We bought this for an older person with vision and hearing impairment. It's easy to put on. Being able to choose a female or male voice is appealing. The owner needs to hold it up to her ear to hear it, but at least she can. It was cumbersome to set up, so I'm dreading the end of Daylight Savings Time. The biggest knob is not to be touched, so a person with memory impairment might break the watch by trying to "wind" or "set" it. We'll see how it goes after a year.
