Swarfega Heavy-Duty Hand Cleaner 500G

I used to use Swarfega as a kid when helping my Dad work on his car. Amazing stuff at removing the grime from working on an oily engine.This new version is red, rather than the green I remember, but it's just as effective. Oil and grime from working on my bike gone in seconds, with no scrubbing required. Paint from DIY (I am a messy diy-er its seems) also lifted.It's not cheap, but I think worth it, as it should last a while.

I miss the old school Swarfega. The gloupy green, smooth texture, the smell! Reminds me of DIYing with my Dad many years ago. Not this one.This is red, has micro particles in it and smells awful. Yes, it performs adequately, but no better than the standard green product I remember. Not worth the extra money in my opinion. 3 stars because it does it's job, albeit with some unnecessary effort required on your part.Go for the original. I'm going to. I just hope it smells the same!

I do maintenance on my bikes and don't often wears gloves so this is perfect for grime/grease. Not as grity as the green stuff and reminds me of working in a garage but smells nice works okay and leaves hands soft. Using a nail brush would be a addition.

Disappointed. The lid was not sealed or tight and came off too easily. The pot appeared to be missing some contents. I realise this has settled in transit and may not be sold completely full, but the amount in the pot was less than half the volume of the pot. Either Swarfega are been misleading with their quantities or this has been tampered with. Haven't used it yet so it may be very effective at its job, however very expensive for the quantity supplied.

For more than a million years Deb have used the same formula for Swarfega because it's good at cleaning your hands. Leaves them smelling nasty but at least they're clean and the smell soon goes with normal handwash.
