Gooseneck Kettle - Pour Over Coffee Kettle with Outstanding Thermometer (40floz)

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The kettle looks nice and looks like any other gooseneck kettle however the first time I used it I heard a sound and come to find out the bottom seal all the way around the kettle was leaking water and that water is squirting and splashing on me and burning me. I am so upset at this product and how dangerous this could have possibly been. I could have dumped boiling water ALL OVER MYSELF had I not noticed this flaw.For a company that puts a bullet point on the box that says "Rest assured this triple layered anti-rust base will stand the test of time" then doesn't even work on first use is awful. Where is the quality assurance?? I am going to consult one of my friends who is an attorney on this as I believe this is incredibly dangerous and hopefully the company is able to fix this situation but for now DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Spend the extra money and get a kettle from a reputable brand.UPDATE: The seller tried to get me to change this review but just so I am clear I will say it again.A kettle that drips boiling hot water onto you is dangerous and should not be sold under any circumstances. The seller should be more worried about their product than their Amazon rating. If the kettle was damaged during shipment (which I don’t believe it was, the packaging was in pristine condition) then that too is the seller’s fault.If you cannot guarantee this products safety then don’t sell it. Also definitely don’t contact me trying to change my review.

Although undamaged the pour over kettle leaked at the bottom to side crimped seam. Looked good and felt as though it is made of thick stainless but had a sizable leak new out of the box. A replacement was offered but for obvious reasons NO THANK YOU. Thankfully the problem showed up right away instead of months later. Patiently waiting for a refund. Update. The seller refunded the purchase price minus $5.99 return shipping. A quality seller would cover all costs related to the return of a product with a manufacturing defect. VERY Dissatisfied.

The product has several splices in the steel, which become unreachable corners to clean. These corners came very dusty, they have a black powder in it, that I cant reach even with a swab. I Used the product 5 times and it is already oxidating (white stains apeared in the bottom - tried to clean, but couldn’t get rid of them)! It is supposed to be steel, but I don’t think the material is durable at all. To complete my dissatisfaction, besides the fact that it is very hard to clean, as mentioned, it is also difficult to dry, have to leave it drying the hole day to make sure the corners have no water left.

I'm shocked how much I like a thing that is so simple. The gooseneck design gives so much more control than my much more expensive stubby spouted teapot I used to use. The built in thermometer works great as well and I use it way more often than I thought I would.There is no whistle but that's fine with me, I don't run the kettle then go watch tv...I'm usually in the vicinity. You'd have to have water boiling for ages to melt the thermometer and you can hardly blame the manufacturer for that. I make pour over coffees, matcha/mate tea which needs to be a specific temp, warm up my spoiled dogs fancy food with hot water, etc etc, this thing gets used multiple times a day. I like it and would buy it again.

This kettle was great for a a little less than 5 months, than the temp probe started coming loose. Now it doesn't work at all and slides up and down in the lid making it difficult to get the lid off. Really there should be something else to get the lid off with other than the probe head. I have gone in circles on Amazon's sight trying to see how to return this item, but that seems difficult for the company too. Maybe this review will get an email from customer service??
