Q: What's the size of the tritium tube?

Hi. Mine are about 2cm long. Green gives off most light, blue tube is no way as strong. So for effect I'd go fro green. If a bought again I'd go for single tube and not the twin one. Tim

Q: Would this light up a bed side clock at night

Just tried mine in the under stairs cupboard - pitch dark and to be honest I could not see a thing with it. You can see a little reflection when you hold it about an inch away from anything but not hardly enough to make out what it was and I knew what I was looking at. Perhaps when your eyes get used to the dark a bit more you might be able to see a clock. It is more of a glowworm than a light.

Q: What is the reference activity?

If by that you mean the level of steady radioactivity from it, it's about the same as from a watch with a tritium dial like the Traser series. It's not hazardous.
