The cable is very sturdy, and if I had any complaint
I purchased this cable in February 2016. I bought it due to the reputation of the manufacturer and I needed a long cable. Also I was tired of flimsy cables wearing out quickly. The cable is very sturdy, and if I had any complaint, it might be that the white insulating jacket maybe a bit overboard as far as stiffness is concerned, but it definitely leant an air of durability to the cable. The cable functioned flawlessly as one would expect as a minimum requirement of a phone cable, but sadly many manufacturers cables fail even this basic requirement. The Anker cable served me without problem until is became 23 months old. It developed a short near the lightning port end, and melted through the white outer jacket.I contacted Anker, and their customer service was outstanding. Although the cable was beyond its 18 month warranty they offered to send me an updated version in 10 foot length. They also were quite concerned about the potential safety hazard and gathered information about the serial number of the cable, what type of charger it was plugged into (Anker dual port BTW), etc.Due to the outstanding service I am keeping my review at 4 stars, in spite of the melted cable. It was 23 months old, but admittedly this thick jacket cable was designed for durability, so one might reasonably expect more than about 2 years out of it. I am pleased that Anker stands behind their products.

Loyal Anker Customer
A couple of years ago I bought an Anker charging cord for my iPhone, and within a few of months it stopped working. I contacted Anker then, and they responded more quickly than any seller on Amazon before or since.Anker has drastically improved their products since they first came on the scene back then, and now their cords work longer and charge better than any other aftermarket cord I have tried, and I have tried many. With 4 i devices in my household, two of which are owned by children, we go through quite a few cords. Typically, when one goes out it is user error, but when it is a defect in the cord itself Anker has a much easier to deal with warranty policy than even the Amazon Basics cords. My kids have Otterbox Defenders on their iPod touch 5th generation and iPhone 5s and the Anker lightening to USB cables fit without having to trim the cord or the case. My husband uses, and loves, the Anker case for his iPhone 6 and I currently have a Spigen on my iPhone 6 and these cords fit those cases as well.I have never been paid by Anker to write a review of any of their products, I have never received any items for free or at a discount in exchange for a review. This review is 100% real. Anker is a great company, buy with confidence.

*Update* Does not disconnect
Update 5/10/16: Left the bottom review believing that the cable was faulty. Ended up buying an Amazon brand cable and no luck, ended up buying an OEM Apple Lightning cable and still, same disconnection problem. Obviously there is something wrong with the phone's charging area. Phone is a 6S+ so I didn't expect for it to already have an issue. While the phone does disconnects with the slightest movement, I have been able to test the charger and can safely say that it works as well as any other. This is one of the longer cables, but they did not cheap out on quality. The cable is thick and doesn't feel that it'll tear. One thing I admired from Anker, is that a few days after my review, I was contacted by email to see how they could be of help. They offered a replacement as they thought that the cable might be defective. I received the replacement in a couple of days. Anker never asked me to update my review nor did they ever suggest something along the lines. I admire that, as many other companies only pretend to "care" only to try and get you to update the review. While Anker is obviously a business and they need to make money, I felt as if they genuinely care about their products and customers satisfaction. Would definitely recommend their products, if they are of the same quality.Old Review(problem is with the phone, not the chargers):I like using my phone while in my bed. Usually that means before I go to sleep. Needless to say, my battery is low at that point. I've bought two different extra long lightning cables and both have given me the same problem. At first it seems that they are working, but then at the slightest movement or the slightest of touches on the phone, and it stops charging. Physically the charger is still connected, however it doesn't stick to the top and comes loose. This, of course, is highly annoying. There are even times when I make sure I leave the cable charging the phone only to wake up and realize that the phone stopped charging during the night and now I have a low battery. For anyone having this problem, I would suggest buying a USB extension cord (male to female) and using that with an OEM Apple Lightning cable. *UPDATE- I NO LONGER SUGGEST THIS LAST SENTENCE.

Well worth the price and very sturdy
I haven't needed to use this cable yet, but I grabbed it because the price was very good, and I remember what a 6ft cable cost when I bought one at the local tv/audio/computer/appliance store. I didn't even think to ask 'how much' for that one because I really needed a 6 ft cable. So, when the guy said $38, my jaw dropped and the usual 'you're kiddin', right?' came out.I took the cable out of it's package, which was nice I thought. Inside a box with a sleeve around the box. Very good for keeping on the ready. I ensured it fit my iPhone 6S+, and the USB port on my PC. Though I just realized I have not tried plugging the USB end into a wall charger. The cable was much thicker than the ones I am used to. I don't know if I would purposely test it by rolling your vacuum over it, but it will definitely hold up to being stepped on, and shoving in and out of carry on luggage. I have seen questions about will it fit using this or that case for your phone. I use two different cases, but they are both the simple Apple slip on cases in silicone and leather. All ports on the bottom are not covered, including the speaker. Which was a big reason I got the Apple cases. But this cable fits great into the charge port. I am really glad I got this cable.
