MerrellMen's Jungle Leather Slip-On Shoe

I wore Merrell for years and the jungle mocs are the best of their slip-in shoes for comfort and long distance walking. My last pair lasted 5 years and I was able to walk them in snow and rain for so many miles with a different insole. This is the first time I'm trying the non-waterproof jungle mocs. They feel exactly like the waterproof one.The arc and heel support is very good. It fits snuggly but stretchable enough for my wide feet. I normally wear 8.5 wide on other brands, and the 9 fits me after I break it in. The bottom of the shoe feels well cushioned and helps walking for miles. The insole is kind of plain, so I use a thicker gel insole to make the shoes feel perfect. These aren't waterproof, so I'm going to apply sno seal on these.I normally wear the slip-in New Balances and Sketchers because of how comfortable they are for long walks and standing awhile. These shoes are slightly less comfortable than Sketchers with the yoga mat insole, but more supportive than the Sketchers and New Balances. It is also the most durable and traction of my shoes that aren't boots.My only criticism of these shoes is that they are aren't stylish or normal looking enough for me. It's kind of ugly with the checker heel and sides of the treads. I can't wear these shoes for formal/semi-formal events. I wish Merrel would make shoes this comfortable that look like shoes that can be casual or used for events.I really love these shoes and I own multiple in different colors. I'm definitely getting more of these.

I waited a few months before making this review. Initially, these shoes were massive ankle biters. I'm talking my ankles were screaming by hour 2 of my 8 hour work shift. I wanted to return them.HOWEVER, in the first two hours they were so comfortable. So, I decided to keep them and figure out a solution. I put two big Yankee candle glass jars in the sole area and left them in there for 4 days.I wore them after and they didn't bother me until the 5th hour of work.The return window was quickly closing, but I was determined to keep them. I put the candle jars again for 2 days this time and I'm happy to say it worked. I've worn them for a full shift and my ankles had no issues. These shoes are clouds manifested for my feet. I LOVE them now. If you can break them in and stretch them, kind of like I did, you won't regret it.

I am 72 yo and recently suffered a spiral fracture of my femur (thigh bone) and also had a hip replacement. I experience significant pain with putting on shoes, socks and tying my shoes. Consequently, I began looking for a good, casual shoe that was a slip on. I tried this based on the recommendation of friends and upon the excellent reputation Merrell enjoys. I purchased a 14. I normally wear a 13.5 W, but Amazon was out of the wide width. From experience I knew that a 14 would be as wide as a 13. Rule of thumb is one size up in length will provide the extra width. Sure enough, the shoe arrived on time and fit perfectly. It slips on easily. I love them. In fact, I threw away a bunch of shoes and ordered 2 more pair.

There's nothing more delightful than slipping into a pair of wonderfully comfortable shoes... After reading all the positive reviews of these Merrell Men's Jungle Leather Slip-On Shoes, I have to say I completely agree! And add my hooray to the chorus of people before me who love them. Even better they make me a little bit taller, which is pretty great too.I've been a huge fan of Merrill hiking shoes for decades. Don't know why I waited so long to enjoy these sublime slip-on's. But I'm sure glad I did.

This review is for: "Merrell Men's Jungle Leather Slip-On Shoe"I returned these size 9.5 (Men's US) for a size 9.I have worn Merrell MOAB 2 Hiking Shoes for many years and have had, and still have, many pairs.Size 9.5 has always fit me me comfortably. However, the Merrell Men's Jungle Leather Slip-On Shoe at size 9.5 felt too loose, and over time it would probably just get looser.The size 9 I recently received fit perfectly. (see EDIT)[EDIT] After further wearing, the size 9 feels too tight. The 9.5 felt too loose. Normally Merrell footware fit me comfortably right out of the box. There is still no issue with quality.

These are easy on an easy off comfortable shoes. They look great if you’re wearing jeans or even a dressier pant because they blend in easy with either style socially. But be sure to get them a half size larger than normal. Over the last few years, they’ve gotten a little tighter on the top of the foot, and you don’t want them to pinch the blood off no top of your foot.

I work the heck out of these shoes, and they stay tight fitting even after I take them on and off 20 times a day. They were great and give me plenty of support. I always keep one new pair on hand as they were another pair out, so I’ll never be without.

I got the 10.5 wide, which is my true size. So didn't have to buy an 11, which is what I usually do.Fits great, looks nice, has an aggressive tread like most Merrill shoes.Some shoes I get on Amazon look like someone else tried them on first. LOL!But they were in good shape so kept them.
