Classic Guitar Technique, Vol 2 (Shearer Series, Vol 2)

Great book for learning classical guitar

Well written, easy to understand. Follows the classical guitar technique method with a series of books and ancillary texts to complete the method. It's an advanced text, in itself, but learning classical guitar takes most students seven years at the very least, to become competent with the instrument. That is, if one wants to excel, for playing guitar is not, merely, chopping wood.

Another great instructional book for the novice classical guitarist. The Aaron Shearer line of books are very accessible and instructional as well.

This book helps me learn guitar chords

Great addition to volume 1. The learning continues and new techniques introduced. The Shearer Series is what I used to learn, and still my prefered go to in teaching classical guitar.

Bought this to remind me of classical techniques, as I used to study from this but haven't picked up a classical guitar in years. Recommend both this and especially volume 1.

I have used many methods over the years and all are useful enough in their way. The Shearer method still has much to offer. The first volume was a great beginning and this second volume carries on in fine fashion. Coupled with Shearer's supplement publications there is little chance of failing to achieve a good playing ability with this method.Shearer has newer updated methods out as well but I prefer the older one here.

I purchased this book to replace the one I used to study classical guitar back in the 70's. Great series, highly recommended.
