The carrying case fits even over a big protective phone case and has a magnetic closure instead of velcro.

The built in security pockets for ID and cards are wonderful.

I gave a 4-star only because I wish the length of the belt clip was longer. Yes, it's metal and seems to grip well - just hope the case stays put if I bend over, take my jacket off without the case coming off my belt, etc. I do like the feature of being able to carry a pen and the flap/separate case on the front to carry credit cards or cash is handy.

I bought this when I misplaced my expensive Turtleback case. It fits my iPhone XS Max even better. Found my other case but am still using this one. Probably not as well made and metal clip is bare, but stays fairly secure to my belt. Probably won’t last as long as my Turtleback, but great for the price.UPDATE: Downgrading to 2 stars. I'be used this case for 6 months now and it is looking worn around the edges where the extremely thing bonded leather(?) has worn off revealing a gray cloth. The seam and rivets holding the clip on has failed also, making it unusable. I'd expected to get a year out of it as it supposedly has a 1 year replacement warranty (how do you redeem that?).
