This scooper is surprisingly sturdy. I wasn’t sure if I would like it because I was afraid it would be a little flimsy at the join. I didn’t need to worry though. It goes together quickly and is long enough for me to stand and scoop (I’m 5’ 7”) without bending or stooping.The scoop itself (the part that does the sifting) is also nicely sized and lightweight. You can get a really deep shovel and it shakes well. The litter falls through the slots without any issues and the solids stay put to dispose. I’m able to get a lot more solids with this scoop than with my old one so the job is faster overall.I love that my nose is no longer in the box. No more breathing litter dust clouds when scooping—totally worth the price of admission right there.Things I wish were better: This one is personal to me but I wish the handle was ergonomic. I have carpel tunnel in both hands and the amount of waste this can pick up is impressive but also heavy. My hands aren’t up to the task to do it single handed some days.It would also be nice if it had some sort of box or container to store it in, sort of like a toilet brush holder. Everyone needs a toilet brush but no one wants to see it displayed in the bathroom.Overall I’m completely impressed and happy I picked this up. I’m also mad at myself for not doing it a long time ago! I’ve been scooping boxes with a small scoop for six long years! 😂

This little addition to my daily duty has made for easier cleaner scooping. The handle is strong easily manipulated and seems to ease my back. The material doesn't allow for residual mess to stick to be cleaned. I purchased this holder separately and find it eases the job as well. It is the CatGuru Premium Cat Litter Scoop Holder, Scooper Caddy, Scoop Stand. The duo makes my life easier because there was always that question of where to put that tool.... Worth every cent.

Great scooper. I love the long handle, it works great while seated in a wheelchair, and I can get all the way to the back of the box. I use it with a hinged flip top litter box and a Litter Genie, a hint for all you wheelchair users, best combo out there. And they both were purchased on Amazon too.

This scoop does the work of cleaning the litter box plus helps back pain by avoiding bending. I sit on a chair and clean the box while my cat watches and smiles at the good job I'm doing.

I love my cat more than anything, but cleaning the litter box is my least favorite task! And all these years, we’ve had one of those flimsy plastic scoopers with a short handle that required you to practically get in the box to get some of the more stubborn corners of clumps. Why I never thought to look for a metal long handled scooper is beyond me. The metal scoop is so incredibly sturdy and although it’s a slightly smaller scoop space than my old one, it gives you the leverage you need to get into all the corners and it’s not unwieldy which was my only concern. The additional handle extension means you’re not bending over to the point where your back is highly stressed. Instead this allows me to shovel without breaking my back. Honestly, if you don’t already have one, you need to try it! I didn’t have any trouble screwing the stem to keep the extension in place and it makes an unpleasant task that much easier! Thumbs up to the individual who designed this!

I needed a sturdy scooper to replace the small plastic scoop that is supplied with a Litter Champ brand litter disposal unit. The inner lid of the Litter Champ has a spring-loaded flap that is only 5.5" wide. Most sturdy aluminum litter scoops marketed are 6" to 7" wide. I was please to find this aluminum scoop that was under 5.5" wide. Add the fact that this has a padded, relatively long handle and I couldn't be more pleased. It doesn't seem like it a litter scooper should be a big deal, but I clear the litter pan once or twice a day, so having an improved tool has really been beneficial.

Although it's not the exact model pictured, this is an excellent scooper. My cats have needed a new scooper for years and were relying on deep fryer scoops that Walmart used to carry. If only any of the cat product manufacturers had thought to copy those scoops. I am really confident that this new non-telescoping model will last me many years of reliability. (This one is a little shorter and has a black and color neoprene handle.)

I happen to love the metal litter shovels, as they clean up better and don't snap when your cat evacuates a 5 pounder. But these were just hysterical!! This scoop is made for an animal the size of a Shetland pony. I could not use it...but in concept the long handle and metal construction was ideal...execution (and storage!!!) was a problem.

I love my pooper scooper! We had a cat for 18 years, and I broke numerous pooper scoopers, so, when I saw this, I had to buy it. When we are too old to scoop the poop, we plan to hand it down to our closest friends. If fire broke out in our house, I’d grab the cat, and the scooper!

Now this is a badass poop scooper. Its huge, sturdy and works like a charm. You can actually get to the bottom of the litter box without bending. I also appreciate how far away from the poop my hands are with this bad boy. Do it. Add to cart, checkout, worth it!!

Pros: The metal looks like good quality in terms of thickness and finish.Cons:The scoop is designed like an excavator bucket instead of being like a shovel. Hence, you cannot push the scoop easily and horizontally into the cat litter. You won't realize how ridiculous it is until you try it.Next.... the straight handle ... How stupid is that ? well, you have to use both hands to lift the scoop when it is full. No thought went it this.....Next,.... the slots in the scoop.... they are too large to sift out all the little bits of pee clumps. Hence, it can't clean the litter properly.

This is for the fixed length (non-telescopic) scooper.A well earned 5*Sturdy construction, with no sharp or misformed metal on mine. Very easy to clean, sifts so well I don't need to shake or jingle it around to make sure I don't throw out any good litter. Wouldn't change a thing.

This is such a sturdy pooper scooper! I used to use a plastic scooper, but the handles always broke. This all metal scoop is super strong and the bottom edge is actually sharp so it scrapes the litter pan sides and bottom more thoroughly than plastic does. Really happy with this purchase.
