The Crocodile Who Didn't Like Water
This is a very sweet story about a little crocodile who didn't like water. Although he longs to play with his brothers and sisters, he didn't like swim club or jumping off the diving board. In fact, what he really enjoyed was climbing trees.... One day, the little crocodile discovers why he doesn't like swimming and realises he has other gifts to offer. This is a lovely story, with a great message for any children who may not enjoy the same activities as their friends - it is fine to be different. The illustrations are simply wonderful - we especially enjoyed hte poor little crocodile standing, tentatively, on the diving board. A wonderful read for children aged 2 - 4.

Sweet, loveable story about a swap between a crocodile and a dragon
This is a sweet story of a mix up between a crocodile and a dragon. Much as a young crocodile tries - and fails - to enjoy being in the water with his siblings, it doesn't work. When he finally does get into the water, he sneezes and discovers that he can breath fire because he is not a crocodile after all he's a dragon and he was born to fly. I enjoyed this tale so much it made me cry. My five-year old loved it too and didn't fail to notice the final illustration of a mother dragon reading a book about a dragon who didn't like fire. The perfect , tailor-made opportunity for a sequel, surely? That would be another book by this author that I couldn't resist.

Molto carino!

"Why Crocodile Sad?" x 200
That is the question my two- year old asked me every night. She was totally engaged in the book! My 4 - year old was engrossed in the simple but beautiful and expressive artwork and managed to calm herself to listen to the entire story (an amazing feat as parents with 4 year olds will tell you).My only complaint is that the book is actually a bit too short. It was just too much fun....Also let's face it he was totally faking it WE KNOW YOU CAN SWIM MR....er...er...crorodile!

Clever retelling of the Ugly Duckling story
A clever retelling of the Ugly Duckling story. Our protagonist does not run away and hide until he's beautiful and accepted like the aforementioned UD. But rather, he discovered what makes him unique and special while playing with his brothers and sisters. And, they accept him and have fun with him once that transformation occurs. A positive message from a clever book.
