The mic at the price is a solid buy
You know to be honest for the price of this microphone it works very well. Sounds good on my radio. Works as it should. I honestly can't find any valid gripes. I would definitely by again for a $20 something Mic great for the value. I know sometimes you buy an item at this price and it doesn't work but give it a try. I bought this to use till my other mic came back from the shop and the mic is a Road Devil. I don't really use the echeo because it is annoying but anyways good mic. Give it a try.

Great souding mic
Got this for my Uniden 980SSB. I have to say this mic works awesome. It is a little tedious to take apart and put back together which I did twice already. I knew from reading reviews that there were adjustments inside the mic. What I didn't know is what exactly they were for. Opening the box didn't help either because it ships with no instructions. I did some searching on the web and using my talkback I figured it out the adjustment on the left side changes the tone of the mic making it lower or higher and the other adjustment is the gain of the mic. Also as is obvious the echo level is right on the front of the mic. I found this Mic to work well with a deep sound, certainly not cheap sounding at all. That being said the construction is a bit flimsy and I suspect it might not last 10 years but for the price of this mic it is a very nice mic.

If you are good with a soldering iron
OK, there are some complaints about this mic and standing wave squeel... If you are good with a soldering iron, the fix is rather simple. The microphone is not a "compressor" type element, that means it is missing the capacitor on the element itself. Solder in a ceramic capacitor with the mark "233" across the mic element wires were they attach to the board. (Mine are blue and yellow) This removes the standing wave squeel.

DM-452 The Echo King
I love these mics they are the best in the industry hands down.... I bought this mic for m RCI 2995 and this thing makes it SCREAM!!!!! You can't beat this mic with a stick. This is # 6 for me and not because they broke but bc other people want to buy them off of me!!!

it is exactly what it is
The mic works just fine, feels cheap though. The echo works flawlessly. My biggest problem with the mic was and is how it actually sounds over the air. It still sounds just like a stock microphone with echo. Has that hollow sound that used to be so characteristic of a cheap stock microphone. You can place a piece of some of that "ape tape" over the front of the mic to cut some of the hollow sound out but it never goes away completely. I really expected a better sound to come out of it since it is an electret condenser mic. Mine came with the mic gain turned up fairly high so those of you getting some feedback or squeal start there (There's an adjustment on the back to turn it down with battery cover off) especially if you use talkback. In summary, If your looking for a cheap echo mic this will do the trick and do it well. If your looking for a great sounding cheap mic this is not for you.
