What a deal!
These are a great buy for 2 part and a solid product to use in a reef aquarium. They are 2 5 gallon buckets that when mixed properly make 4 gallons each. It is very important to take the time and measure proper and follow all the instructions ;)

Huge PITA but excellent customer service
The Alkalinity was totally solidified on the bottom of the bucket. It was like an inch thick and just would not break up. The vendor was awesome and provided excellent customer support (hence 3 stars vs 1 star). So I had to take the bucket indoors and heat the solution up to 85 degrees, left for 24 hours. Then I emptied the liquid solution into another bucket. Then took a 5 lb sledge with a chisel and hit the #$%@! out of the solidified alkalinity. It finally broke (I did lose some of the alkalinity pieces in this process as they exploded and went flying). After 15 mins of chiseling away I managed to break it all up into small pieces. Poured the liquid solution back in. Placed back inside with heater, huge air stone and a powerful submersible sump pump. Left run for 24 hours. Voila - all liquid. The solution was dirty from all this back and forth so I had to run it through a filter. Since I had lost some of the solid alkalinity, I could not just add the RO/DI water as specified. Instead I had to add small amounts of RO/DI water and measure until I knew I had just the right concentration mixture of RO/DI to solution. Total PITA let me tell you. But in the end I have the intended product and it is working.

A must for your saltwater aquarium
This stuff really does do what it says it does on the container. Do the dosage math correctly for your size tank and program an auto dosing pump and $ for $ this is the best option

I have been using the same product for years, ...
I have been using the same product for years, and it does the job in maintaing alkalinity and Calcum level that are essential for reef. It is cost effective considering the persistent necessity though it may be a little bulky to store.
