Stephen Hawking (Getting to Know the World's Greatest Inventors & Scientists)

My son really liked this book. He used it as his primary book for a 5th grade presentation on Stephen hawking. We saw the movie the Theory of Everything after his school presentation and he seemed to have retained a lot of what he read. The rest of the family had read The Brief History of Time, which I think is a little too advanced for my 5th grader but we explained it to him and he seemed to have understood it that way/

My son had to do a biography report on a famous person. I didn't want him to do an athlete so he chose Stephen Hawking. His library didn't have any books on him. This book was perfect, in fact I think I'm going to buy all these books and donate them to his school library. My son got an "A" and his teachers were pleased that it was someone other than an athlete. They liked asking my son questions about him and hearing how smart my son sounded.

Bought this book for my grandkids. Really great read at nap time or a good night relaxing story. The flow of the story is quite good. A good read for the adult who does not know much about black holes. It's not your standard super hero comic book, but if you read it they hear. It is surprising how much they observe and understand.

Interior of book is perfect. Would rate it as "good" rather than "very good". Unfortunately the cover looks like someone sat on it bending & creasing it in 2 places across the front & twisting the binding. Too much hassle to return. Will donate it to my library & buy a better copy for my grandson elsewhere.

Needed it for a school project, good book but it arrived four days late and we had to rush things.

Was not a fun book to read, but I want to introduce our child to cosmology and science.

Got for my 10yr old who likes biographies. Written to relate on kids level with lots of factual information. He really enjoys it.

If you are a Stephen Hawking fan then this book is amazing to share and read with your children or grandchildren. Beautiful illustrations and well written.
