Beautifully Handcrafted Chess board for your living room. For 14" x 14" square Board, King is almost 3" high and others pieces size according to the King Size. Staunton Pawns are of pure Brass. All pieces also are hand-carved. Chess Set itself is having storage for all of it 32 pawns and is laced with a satin feel cloth. As it can be seen in the picture, Main Box is Wooden and Wooden Inlays have been placed on top of the wooden box. Wooden Box also works as storage to keep the pawns/pieces for convenience.

Excellent!!! I've been looking for a brass set for quite some time, and trust me, you won't find much better for the price. Absolute deal.Pieces: 9.7/10Board: 7/10Love the weight of the pieces. Solid and heavy; that's what you want in a brass set. Great colors.Only place to improve is the board. It's a good quality board and only gave it a 7/10 beacuse its a travel board. But that's what was promised and no complaints. You have the option of buying a separate board elsewhere if you wish. However, the colors are also great.Overall: 9/10!!!

Good Product, Poor Quality Assurance and Support
Although the set arrived a month ago, I finally got the opportunity to finish these chess pieces over this past weekend. They are now usable without scratching the chess board. "Finish" in this case means acquiring, cutting and installing felt cloth to the bottoms of 3 pawns.Before continuing let me say that the board and especially the pieces are quite beautiful. They look as advertised. That is the only reason why this review offers more than 1 or 2 stars.Sadly, the quality assurance of the StonKraft company (aka "The India Store") leaves much to be desired. I tried over the course of weeks to get a 2" x 2" patch of matching cloth from StonKraft, to no avail.As stated, I had to trek to my nearest Joann Fabric store (more than an hour round trip) to find cloth that would serve as felt bottoms for the pawns. While I did find cloth to serve the purpose, it doesn't quite match the other pieces. C'est la vie. Anyway, I bought it, brought it home and carefully cut and pasted 3 cloth circles to the bottoms of my new aberrant pawns. Problem solved.All that said, $146.49 is a lot to pay for a chess set that requires extra labor on the part of its new owner.Needless to say I will be keeping this chess set. That's why I went to the trouble of finishing the pawns myself.One last note: the chess set arrived surprisingly quickly (also as advertised). I couldn't help but wonder what the real shipping costs are from or to India. This item definitely came directly from India to my door and there is no way it cost the advertised $11.49 to ship it.So I called Fedex. As suspected, much of the item cost also covers shipping as well. It would have cost any Joe (or Jagdesh) off the street $95.30 to ship this item from India to Florida. I gathered from the Fedex lady that StonKraft gets pretty hefty discounts shipping from India to the US. They must be shipping lots of stuff from there. My guess is that this item actually cost them perhaps $50 to ship here.But there's more! If for whatever reason I had decided this item was not usable (eg. missing pieces), it would have cost me a whopping $202.30 to ship this 3.5 kg item back to StonKraft!!!Moral of the story: be very careful and perhaps get a commitment up front from StonKraft to offer free shipping (or the advertised $11.49 shipping) if something is seriously wrong with the package and it must be returned.
