Small yet powerful (and safe) heater
I purchased this for use in my office, which is kept colder than I would prefer in the winter months. In particular, my hands always freeze and I was looking for something I could point directly at my keyboard. It was of key importance to me that the following features were present: (1) self-shut off in case of tipover (for safety), (2) either ETL or UL certified for safety and quality, (3) quiet (so as to not interfere with phone calls and normal conversation, (4) size (not so large as to take up my entire desk), and (5) ability to change direction of airflow. This item is near perfect and meets all of my criteria. If I were being nitpicky, I would point out that although you can tilt the airflow upwards, you cannot make it point downwards (e.g. if you wanted to put this on a shelf that is higher than your desk and point down towards your desk, you would be unable to do so).At this price point, this is a fantastic little device and I am looking forward to working in comfort under its multi-level warmth.

Twice as nice
Loved it so much, I bought a second one. My old heater had radiant heat (the ones that would light up), and I got tired of the noise it would make when I first turned it on every morning. Finally, it kept making the noise and had a burning smell (tho the smell was normal... at first... but when it kept smelling, I knew it was time to make a change). My old one had a fan, so I was looking to replace it with another fan and heat combo. I wanted something small, portable, with safety features and reasonably-priced.This combo fits the bill. I typically run it on low heat and it keeps my office toasty. If I close the door, it's a rap! It will be super warm in there. I'd definitely recommend this heater. I like that it stops running if I tilt it or move it in any way. It doesn't have the 'radiants' inside (or at least, not the ones that light up, which makes me feel more comfortable that it won't catch fire). Buy with confidence.

Why this combo.
It came in a box. Not a display box. Just a plain box. No instructions and the cord was just rubber band tied together. Honestly I thought it was used or something. BUT.....let's get to the good part....it works well for small spaces. The fan has two settings as well as the heater. Low and high. And obviously off .I use this in our bedroom which is pretty large and it keeps air flowing ok. The heater works well. When we keep the door closed. It's a nice feature to have two in one. No more need of a separate heater and fan.Our winters are pretty brutal. And that's why this fan works for us. If we keep the bedroom door closed and heater on it warms up nicely. And if we need a quick cool down we just switch it to fan and open the bedroom door. Saves on heating the whole house and keeps our bill lower. It has a tip button on the bottom that must be level or at least pressed in on something. Preventing it from staying on if it's accidentally tipped over. One really small niche complaint. I'm sure is maybe just us. But as our power goes out often in winter and sometimes in summer. The reason we got this to begin with. Just in case. But now we use it everyday. And nothing with the fan/ heater combo itself. But to run this in heater mode you will need at least a 1000wh battery backup. It draws a good amount when on. So we needed to upgrade to just use this in case of emergency. I'm sure this is common with most things. Was there a benefit to finding this out.....YES....As we never thought about having a backup power supply for our other things. Refrigerator mostly. Other than a smelly generator , gas and oil and running cables outside through a window...but now we don't need to use the smelly generator for short term power outages....we just pull out the battery backup and we're good to go for at least a few days....So a positive there....Overall a good product. Works well so far and happy to not have to switch back and forth seperste heater and fan.....now it's just the turn of a dial. And it super portable to carry around the house if need be.

Exactly what I wanted
I bought this as a personal heater, not a space heater. To be blunt, I bought it to sit in front of the toilet. For this purpose, it is ideal. It generates enough heat on high that I sometimes turn it to low, even for the short period it is in use. The adjustable angle allows you to direct it exactly where you want, and the fan moves enough air to be effective for summer use. It's exactly what I needed. The unit is not quiet, but I didn't expect it would be. Small fans must run faster and be louder to move the same air as a larger fan. It would have no effect on conversation with someone standing near me, but might make it hard to hear someone speaking from the next room. Because I think this is an expected trade off for fan this size, it doesn't affect my rating. The safety switch is a spring loaded push button on the bottom of the unit, so it turns the unit off if it isn't sitting on a relatively flat hard surface. It's simple and effective, but it turns off both the fan and the heating element. It turns off the fan even when your using it without heat. I believe it would be safer if the fan continued to run, to quickly cool the unit. As this doesn't make the unit UNsafe, and doesn't affect it's performance, I didn't lower my rating.

Fire Hazard
Worked well until I heard a rattling noise and went over to check on it. Thankfully I did because sparks and smoke were coming out the front of it. Could have caused a fire had I been asleep and not heard the noise. The top of it had already started to melt by the time I walked over to it.
