First off, this does work. It will let you connect your device through HDMI to a TV or monitor and gives you more ports. The Power Delivery (PD) works too and it goes through at normal charge rates. A friend of mine bought an Anker that was probably defective because his gave him a trickle charge. This one gives you normal charge rates. I think it gives you fast charge in fact, but I can't verify it.Now, I bought it to try to use it with the Samsung Note 9 with Dex. And it drove me crazy. I plugged it in and plugged it into my TV. It connected and... dex didn't work. It instead just mirrored my phone screen. I tried everything but it just didn't work. I wasn't sure if it was my phone or this adapter. I knew it wasn't my cable because I use it all the time. I was wondering if it just didn't work on my phone even though Dex is supposed to be built into the phone and not require any special equipment.My friend finally figured it out. To use Dex on the Note 9 with this adapter, you need to connect the adapter to power. Once I did that, the Dex screen appeared on my screen. I'm not sure if it's just this device that requires that though because I think my friend's Anker worked without power; but his Anker was also defective on the power delivery side while this device wasn't.I docked a star for that because it makes this slightly more clunky if you have to attach it to a power supply to make it work. Other than that, it's small, feels well made, and works!

Arrived April 4, 2019, purchased for $28.99; did not start to use it w/my Jumper Laptop until around the last 10 days in April. Here we are now on May 12, 2019; with max useage for about 3 weeks. The device to laptop connection cord is too long; causing it to need the space of the length of this cord; about 7 inches plus the length of the device, about 4 inches, horizontally cleared to whichever side you plug it into your laptop or tablet. If/When the 7 inch cord is not laid out perfectly straight; this causes the connection into whatever you are using; with its power cord connected into the multiport device to keep it charged; this causes the multiport to constantly DISCHARGE your battery. It is EXTREMELY tempermental, the slighted movement of the connection cable changes the status from "charging" to discharging".Greatly Overpriced. I will now shop for a similar replacement, at a much lower price; because this one, for sure, IS NOT WORTH $28.99.

I have a laptop that has ONE USB port! I ordered this to allow my wireless keyboard and other work related items to be plugged in and usable at the same time. I received it, opened the box and plugged it in. I added my 10-key USB plug in and was immediately able to use the 10-key pad. I switched added my wireless mouse USB plug in and that worked at the same time. This was EXACTLY what I needed.

My wife's laptop has only 2 usb plugs that's it! this was a great and affordable resolution to give her more options to read her other gadgets she uses (camera, phone, memory drive) only this is needed is CD reader. I checked everything works as it should, nothing needs to be installed easy use just plug it and that's it! Wife is satisfied so I get brownie points :)

This hub expands a USB C port and is solidly constructed. It works very well. Plugging into it prevents wear and tear on my MacBook Pro ports.

True plug-n-play.....plugged my mouse in and it worked fine. reads my thumb drive fine. Just what I need for travel on the road and not have to break out a laptop.

Works great with my Macbook Pro! It has worked well with multiple things plugged in.
