Ryobi Expand-It ZR15519 Blower Attachment For String Trimmers

I purchased this item along with a recond. pruner. The pruner is awesome. It does a great job. The weed trimmer extension does a great job. This blower, I would recommend using the money that you would spend on this and get a dedicated gas or electric blower/vac.The item works OK at best. The small engine has difficulty going to full power with this attachment. It does great with the other two attachments listed above.This will work fine for small leaves and small areas. It is a little awkward to use. It is difficult to quickly change the direction of the air flow or get a high volume of air to move larger leaves/debris. This is be OK for the occasional use to blow a few leaves around from a single tree. It would not work to corral fall time leaf droppings from multiple trees or from large trees.The hand held wands/hoses found in dedicated hand held or backpack style blowers are much more versatile, powerful, and much easier to use. If you are looking for a powerful unit to move a lot a leaves (etc), don't spend too much time looking at this blower. It probably won't work the way you would expect or need it to. The other attachments for this unit work great and I would give them 5 stars.

I bought this attachment and the edger attachment at the same time for my 29cc 4-cycle Trimmer. The edger is amazing. The blower is ok. It works, but I dare say that the best part of it is the scraper piece attached to the bottom that allows you to get the stuff stuck to the driveway. I've worked a trick to angle the trimmer and blower just so it gets the grass out of the amazing edge just made by the previously mentioned edger. But it only goes one way. If I tilt it 90° to the right, it works ok. If I tilt it 90° to the left, it does a real good job of getting that grass out...Everytime I use this, it does it's job, but at the expense of the trimmer. The trimmer overheats after 10 minutes of use. Maybe I have some things wrong...

This blower is definitely much more convenient than getting out my standalone blower, stringing an extension cord all over the yard, and plugging it in. It's barely powerful enough to blow grass clippings off the sidewalk, but it gets the job done.

As advertised it has a lot of wind spreen but the large opening for the wind make it a pain to use, You cannot concentrate the wind to a specific area. It blows everywhere and screws up your efforts. I ended up using duct tape to cover several holes so I could use as I wanted.

Actually better than my original unit as it has a metal base plate at the mouth of the blower that should make it last longer when scraping along the ground. Actually moves more air than my original.

Works realy well! Blows great! The angle is much better for getting under cars too!

Works as expected. The air power was more than I thought it would be. This little thing was able to move wet leaves stuck to my deck.

Works well. Angle is a little different from other blowers. Closer to the ground makes it more effective.
