Raspberry Pi Model 2 3 Model B B+ Copper Heatsink Set 100% Forged Copper

I just started out playing with the Raspberry Pi and was alarmed when watching YouTube videos that the processor temperature was getting up into the 80 degrees Centigrade area. So I got this heat sink and while running videos on YouTube with the standard aluminum little heatsink I was hitting into the mid 80 degrees Centigrade range this drop me down into the 60 degrees Centigrade range around 65 60 in that area. I added a fan and that drop me down into the mid 40 degree range cutting the previous heat range in half. Excellent product highly recommended.

The copper(ish) baseplate of this heatsink set is much thicker than the MCM unit this "appears" to be a copy of. This is not a terrible thing as it may increase cooling. Center section of tape cut away and replaced with Arctic MX-4 to increase (possibly) conductivity. Left outside edge of tape in place to allow adherence to RAM/Processor. All in all, a quality product.

I now have 3 sets of these heatsinks, one for each of my 3 Pi3 devices. I like the COPPER material, and the "pin" design; they work + are beautiful! [The 'pin' design allows cooling with the Pi3 in all orientations; 'fins' may not cool as effectively if the fins are horizontal]The Seller should consider adding a RAM heatsink to the set.

They come with two-sided thermal transfer tape for easy connection to the chips. Each piece is the same size as the chip it's supposed to cover. So far, they seem to be doing their job, cooling a Pi overclocked to 1GHz CPU, 500MHz RAM.

It might work a little better if the base was thicker but it is one of few heatsinks that fully covers the CPU on the Pi2.

nice copper heat sink.. fits my pi nicely.. but not seeing any significant drop in cpu temp.

These heatsinks are exactly what was needed for my development project . They mated very well to the Peltier device needing to be cooled.
