Slow controlled movements that pack a punch!
If you've seen Qigong and you think you won't get the workout you need, think again! The exercises might be slow in movement most of the time, but it stretches and flexes every muscle in your body at one point or another! I bought this as my two hip replacements have made me not as balanced and not able to do exercises that bounce from mat to standing and other fast movements. So I looked for exercise videos that have controlled movements so that I didn't injure myself. Lee Holden is very good at teaching the names of the moves and talks about the muscles used and why you do the sequences that are done. Believe me by the time you are finished you will feel refreshed your "Chi" or life energy will be moving in the right direction and you will know that you have exercised.I reccommend it for any age.

Holden Qigong is the real deal!!
This is a great DVD for those who want to try something new and to counter weightlifting or other traditional exercise routines. Qigong will increase energy and improve circulation. After doing a few of the different Holden Qigong DVD s- I didnt realize how much of a sweat you get after awhile. The moves are easy to do ..and are less stressful on joints than yoga. Focusing on the breath is very imprtant and all moves are done with intent and purpose. The heart and lungs exercises ...improves my asthma greatly and I felt a difference from the beginning. I have bought a variety of the Holden series and love them all so far. He has a calming voice ...easy to follow instruction and the scenery is amazing. It puts you in the right mind set from the get go. Qigong works!!

Relaxing
I have tension pretty much everywhere in my body, but this dvd is so relaxing that even a non-exercising person like me can do it and enjoy it! Even when I only spend a few minutes doing qigong I feel better. The narrator’s voice is soothing, too.

Qui Gong. A meditative form Thi Chi.
Good introduction to this ancient form of exercise. More contemplative and nature based discipline of Thi Chi. Great for Elderly and people with joint problems.

Great for CFS patients
If you have little energy but want to move your body, this is a great video. The instructor explains each move, how to perform the move and why it’s important. Each session is about 15-20 mins.

An excellent introduction
I'm new to qigong, and have been looking at various introductions. I can definitely recommend this one. Lee's approach is to get you right into the routines and not bog you down with too much theory all at once; I'd compare it favorably to Richard Hittleman's approach to teaching yoga. I also love how the DVD comes with a code so you can access the video online (after taking just a minute to create an account) to watch wherever you are. Recommended!

Life changer
This is the best purchase I’ve made for myself in a long time. Struggling with chronic exhaustion and pain this video and qigong in general has helped improve my daily life dramatically while easing anxiety and feeling more grounded.

Going with the Flow
It's often very difficult to find a teacher you can relate to and understand when you're starting to learn Qi Gong. Lee Holden gives the impression of sensitivity, gentleness and a quiet strength. His voice encourages you to relax and unwind. At the same time his instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I have a number of difficult medical challenges to cope with on a daily basis and I find his approach both healing and therapeutic. Nothing too dramatic or distracting here and I love the natural surroundings which complement the instructions. I am a creative writer and this feels like 'poetry in motion,' where body language can be expressed through fluid gestures. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Good video for beginners
Good video for beginners. Maybe spends a touch too long on each exercise (thus making it a little tedious), but easy to follow.

Fabulous!
I have bursitis in my hip and shoulder which is both painful and restrictive. It occurred to me that maybe some form of Tai Chi would help and came across this DVD. It also lead me to the version for Healthy Joints. Both have reinvigorated my appetite for Qigong. The instructions (and benefits) are clearly stated, the locations/backgrounds are calming. At the end of the workouts (I've only used the short versions at present) I also feel calm yet energised: how wonderful!

It is easy
I like the easy exercises and the scenario he has choosen is beautiful. However, the dvd has four parts: two parts for exercises which is the important part and it is around 42' together. The rest is introduction and some extrasI thought it was going to be 60' of exercises but it is the introduction with more publicity for other dvd's he does. That was a bit disappointing.
