Delicious and easy to follow recipes!
I love the beautiful photos and delicious recipes! Wonderfully written book with easy to follow instructions. You don’t need to come from France to cook like you’ve lived in the French countryside. Yum!

Really French Means REALLY Better
When the recipes are REALLY really French, you can always tell. They are cleaner, tighter just flat dab taste better, more artfully made. Even when I make them. Join me. I laugh at myself, but NEVER the food.

Authentic without pretentiousness
Somehow I got this book for free, or almost. I love to eat and cook French food, and even my French wife thinks I'm pretty good. This is an excellent addition to a cook's bookshelf. It is not as wide ranging in scope as say Rene Verdon or others well known, but the recipes it contains are authentic without the pretentiousness. For example I made an outstanding cassoulet using a rotisserie chicken instead of duck, one of the author's wise tips for saving money and labor without compromising the result. I actually read her stuff, it's not just for decoration.

A must-have for soup lovers!
Lovely photographs (even in the ebook version) accompany the recipes as well as a wealth of helpful hints and tips. I spent the morning reading through it and enjoying making plans of what I'm going to make first (the mushroom soup). I see myself coming back to this cookbook over and over for years to come.
