Excellent Quality
This arrived about a week earlier than expected! For that I was super pleased, and was even happier when I opened it. I purchased it used and it looks essentially brand new. Not a speck of highlighting or writing inside the book. I was so happy to get it so early to start studying, but the fact I don't have to overlook someone else's highlighting and marking (especially on the practice questions) is amazing! I got this originally $35.99 book for an absolute bargain. Thank you!

MCAT Technique/Strategy, not so much practice
Like all the other Examkracker books this one is clear and concise. Maybe a little bit too much so - I would've wished for more practice exercises. But having read other reviews ahead of time (from older editions) I was prepared for that and bought a a different book for pure practice purposes. This MCAT manual helps get technique down instead of reviewing content.

A must have!
I need to retake the MCAT and I wish I had this book the first time around. This book has many tricks to improve calculations and also to understand research passages. I used KAPLAN before and I didn’t understand why they didn’t teach HOW to take the test, which was a big piece I was missing. I’m so glad I found this book.

Helpful for improving CARS
LOVED this book! Helped me realize that I was not reading the way I was supposed to. I loved the emphasis on main idea and taking breaks during the CARS section.

Examkrackers Rock!
Examkrackers are the best test prep I have ever used. I love how they cut through the extraneous information and get to the point. Worth the price.

Similar to older edition.
similar to the older edition. I did not find it very helpful. I used some techniques, but did not work well under timed constraints.

Great tips for approaching CARS and making quick calculations for science passage questions

Not helpful and a waste of money.
They have a whole page telling you to ignore all advice from professors, other prep books, family, and friends. But follow their advice word for word because they are experts. I don't appreciate the condescending and arrogant approach the author is taking. And then their advice is very basic and self explanatory.

Questions/Answers are highly convolulted
While I do like the general stategy that EK provides for tackling CARS (focus on the main idea, avoid referring to the original passage as much as possible), I can't recommend this question package. Half the questions have a 50/50 answer where the correct answer seems to be chosen based on a subjective criteria. The solutions provided are paragraphs long and sometimes require some logical hoop jumping to justify. The difficulty is also wildy inconsistent, one practice set I got high 70% and then the next set I got 49%. I don't have any reason to believe I degraded my ability 20% within two weeks, but it just seems too inconsistent for me. I know these passages are supposed to be difficult, but the question stems and answer choices just don't seem reasonable when compared to other CARS sources.

Missing pages
I purchased this book and realized as I was studying that it's missing about 20 pages. The book gets to page 102, repeats pages 85-102, and then starts up again at p121. Very frustrating to discover in the middle of a study session.
