Satin Color Reverse Kit

My natural hair color is an ashy light brown. I have gray hairs coming in here and there. I started coloring it about four years ago. I colored it dark burgundy red for two years. I used a natural box color I got at Whole Foods. Two years ago, I started using L'Oreal Feria Midnight Violet. It fades to a dark burgundy. I decided to try Satin color and wanted to try and get the leftover color off. I decided to use this product. I have never used a color reverse product before.The first thing I will say is that it smells horrible. It's like a chemical smell that's being covered up by something else. It's awful. I followed the instructions exactly. I couldn't find the Satin conditioner it suggests you use. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I used a different moisturizing hair treatment. I washed it exactly as it says to, etc.When I took the towel off my head, my hair (except the two+ inches of growth. I don't color my hair in the summer) is orange. A copper-ish color. It's nowhere near my natural color. I thought that there might be some color left, but I didn't expect it to look like this.I am going to dye it tomorrow using a purple color from Satin. Hope it comes out ok.

Had a little issue using some hair color that had gone bad.....made my medium brown (and grey roots) go solid, but pretty, BLACK! Not just a hint of black, but stark, over dyed black. I noticed it early on in the coloring process and tried washing it out, used a couple suggestions I learned on the internet (some helped a little bit), but I was eager to get back to a little more normal color. I only wish I could buy Satin products locally! I got this and used it within 48 hours of my major color failure and although it didn't remove 100% of the black color, it lightened it up enough so I could go out in public and not be self-conscious! Easy to use, great instructions and no nasty odor. After a week, I went to my stylist and he gave me a few highlights to help blend in the old and new color of my hair.....and I got compliments. Ha! Probably going to be a little more careful next time I color my hair! Love Satin for their color products, color remover and especially their conditioner.

My hair has is very long and has been dyed a number of times different colors. So, I was trying to use this product to strip the most recent black that I had put on my hair. It did a good job of stripping the color for the ends of my hair but the middle part of my hair is still black, sadly. It is not a substitute for bleach to even out color. I would say this is good for someone who maybe just dyed their hair a color and want to change it back. Not too sure how good it does on evenly removing dark black colors.

Didn't take the color out

washed my hair and it came off in my hand. That was a big surprise as the carton says it is completely safe. Yikes

This product is horrible and does not work. I purchased it having naturally light blonde hair that was bleached and dyed purple. It did not lift any of the color, in fact I think less came out than when I normally shower. I will be demanding a full refund for this garbage product.

Worked well. This product took off all of the black dye from my hair.
