I just leave it installed full-time on my remote. It filts in the case, and the mavic pro remote can still (sort-of) close. So long as it fits in my case still--which it does--I'm good to go. It does hang from the front of the remote, which means it will block your smartphone's display somewhat, but it does not really distract and is a decent compromise for being so minimal and still allowing it to be mounted full-time.

It's an okay design not great but okay enough. Although o thought it was meatle
