This product works great for documents that have small areas that need to be covered such an address or account number. I still use a shredder for documents with lots of confidential information, but this device is an excellent time saver and a good value. It's also easy to use and the ink lasts quite a while.

I like this product.I had BOXES of papers, most with personal info on them both inside and out of the envelopes, to go through and had to handle each piece as there was save stuff mixed in. Sad, sad woman, me.Enter this product. It's highly rated and has refills, win-win.Pros: It works as advertised, covers 99% of all paper, plastic, etc., lasts longer than I figured it would and, again, refills.Cons: Refilling can be a bit messy at first. Once you get the hang of it (go SLOW, let it sit for a bit and hold the device so the fill hole is up while using after refill) it's fairly smooth sailing.I highly recommend this product.

First the pros - this little ink roller is not that expensive. Quite easy to use so far (I haven't had to refill the ink yet and I've read others have difficulty with that). Now I will admit for your "average" junk mail this can be used and it does a decent job. Does it completely cover and "mask" whatever information you are attempting to cover. Yes and no, depends on the paper. Even in most cases, I've been able to look at an angle/under light and still can see the information I am trying to cover up. I've also noticed my ink has sometimes appeared to run dry. You best make sure you run the ink roll over a flat surface, otherwise you will see "spotting" (where ink is nice and dark in some areas, other areas hardly any ink is present). Final thoughts, I'd suggest this for non-important information like maybe your name and address (I'm sure anyone can get that information from the internet these days) but I would NOT recommend this for any personal information you don't want people to know such as social security numbers, still best you shred those documents. But what I use it for (to cover my name and address on junk mail) I think would deter most from even bothering to attempt to get my information from mail I throw away because they would prefer to go to someone who doesn't use an ink roller to cover their information, so to me I still think it's a little handy tool. I would probably buy again

After using this Identity Theft Protection Roller Stamp for almost a year, I am delighted with its simplicity and utility. It works better than I could have imagined.I gifted the first stamp to a friend. At the same time, I purchased a second stamp for myself, I liked it so much.It is a great product worth the price.I do suggest before using it, that you be aware of its limitations when using it on other mediums such as glossy papers, and plastics.

Identity theft protection roller saves me time. Instead of picking and peeling off labels from mailed packages and envelopes that have my printed home address,I just roll this roller and the ink covers up my personal information before I throw out or recycle my boxes. It’s easy to use and it makes me happy to know that this item is available at Amazon. So easy to order and I think it would make a great gift.

Before I had to refill the ink, I enjoyed the product. It completely covered the private parts that I did not want to show. But, when the ink got over, the instructions mention to pour the ink in the whole on the side. This did not work for me and the ink kept spilling out. As such the whole unit became messy. The ink keeps coming off and accumulating. I don't know if the whole was blocked or not. I expected the ink to soak in. Until this issue of ink refills is resolved, I cannot recommend this product. Once they fix it, I can easily give it 5 stars.

I bought this stamp because my mother got one as a gift and she uses hers all the time. This is so much easier and better than using a black pen or marker. Fast and easy.

This is a very good product when your data and identity needs to be protected. This product hides all sensitive information when taking a photo or sharing images. This is a must have to secure your personal information.

This worked right out of the box, and gave good coverage, and I couldn't read the text from either side.A pox to the mailers who needlessly put your name and address info on every mailing, sometimes 3-4 times. Like many people, I have had ID theft (after our building mailbox bank was compromised, aging locks), and I have been saving everything up to shred. This is far easier.I haven't had to change the ink cartridge yet, but the instructions are right on the side of the box that I am keeping it in. This was the only one I saw at a good price including replacement rollers.
