Combined Harvesters 627003 Eco King 400L Composter - Green

My husband bought one of these composters and we were pleased with ease of installation. It took no time at all and we are now composting to our hearts content. Can't agree with other review that says it is flimsy as it does just what it needs to do. We are now looking at a bigger composter as we have noticed what a difference it makes to our 2 weekly waste collection.

Very easy to put together, however one of the two compost removal flaps broke off. The 'hinges' are extremely fragile and if the unit is not exactly square when assembling, the flap hinges can easily break. Fortunately there is a removal flap on both sides, so the composter is still useable.

Once you've got it loaded up with compost, it can be difficult to re-connect the various lugs.I gave up eventually !But it does compost ok

I wil need to replace this very soon I suspect. It is flimsy and bits started breaking off whilst I was putting it together. I ended up using my own cable ties to hold it together.

Here I am after 18months buying a replacement for this flimsy, infuriating rubbish, with a German manufactured Neudorf composter. Yes, I made a batch of good compost with the Eco but it is now fit only for the tip. Come on British Industry! You can do better than this surely. Good job we have friends on the continent enabling us to discover the truth. The star I awarded is a minus by the way.

I really expected the quality of this composter but the plastic was so flimsy, and when I built itit did not stand sturdy on the ground at all. Moreover, the clip system is useless so thatthe lid does not close properly.This composter may look handsome, but don't get fooled by it.
