A timeless book both from the heart and for the heart
I’ve read Austin Kleon’s other two books, Show Your Work! and Steal Like an Artist, both of which offer advice on how to unlock your creativity and help you to get your work out into the world. In this book aimed at writers, artists, and creatives of all types, the author offers tips, tricks, and techniques on how to stay creative during good times and bad.Though this is just a short book, it is an inspirational one, and it contains an incredible amount of wisdom and depth in its pages. The book is peppered with relevant quotes, humor, chuckle-worthy illustrations, black-out poetry, advice from other creatives and inspiring stories that made me get excited all over again about the projects I’m currently working on. But more than that, this is also a practical book on how to live a good and satisfying life despite the chaos that sometimes surrounds us.Though this is a fast read — I think I read it through the first time in less than two hours — this isn’t the kind of book you place back on your shelf when you’re finished and forget about it. Like his other books, you’ll want to have it close at hand so that it’s within easy reach to refer back to often. I now have it on my desk with his other two books, and I have little doubt that I’ll be turning to it often.I think this would be an excellent motivating book to refer to when going through rough patches — those times in your life when success seems too far off to reach for or when you’re feeling lost or jaded. This might be just the book to pull you out of a slump. All in all, Keep Going is a timeless book both from the heart and for the heart, and I highly recommend it.

Seemingly Artistic
I skimmed this book, planning to read this more thoroughly next time. The book has a theme of self-care and self-development. For intellectuals, for those who appreciates the literature without having to be in academia, this will remind them of the beauty of reading books, listening to music, and appreciating simple nature of daily life.

Must Read for Creatives
This book is a high recommendation for anyone who struggles with developing a clearer view when it comes to their craft. Offers a fresh perspective on approach and has even assisted me with invigorating new ideas and limited creative fatigue. This book was recommended to me, and I now do the same for you.

lOVED IT!
I am a fan of this book! Anyone can have moments in life where staying creative seems a hard task to do. This book gives you advice on ways you can stay creative when times become tough. The author Austin Kleon, provides with you 10 ways to help you enter a creative mindset. Kleon writes about different authors' and artists' routines to stay creative. He shares with the reader the routines that helped those artists/authors create their best work. This book gave me tips I will definetly put into practice like finding a space to be creative. Kloen talks about letting your mind be free and be able to just think and be creative. Find a space in your house or anywhere you would like or a specific time throughout the day to be creative. Opening a time to be creative to make doodles or come up with the most random ideas. Similarly, as setting a time for a bible study, the gym, or a time for journaling, setting a time to be creative is a great tip Kloen has given us.Another tip he gave us is when you are stuck on a project and do not feel creative then try to make something ugly. Try to make the ugliest and worst project and that will help your creativity shift in a different direction giving you another view of your work at the moment.Look at your work as an opportunity to perform your best each day. When you get stuck on a project just play around with your design anything that comes to mind draw it down. Even if it is hard to create something one day, doing anything is a step closer and a sign of productivity.

Wonderful Austin Author
This Austin author is absolutely fabulous and so on point. I just started my new business and exploring the Artists Way with a group of folks (more fun in numbers -right?). This was highly recommended by the groups to keep moving. Just arrived today, but so far, I love its insights. Definitely a keeper book and it’d be a great gift for anyone starting a new adventure!
