Got it on prime day
Got a great sale on this, bought it for $26 I think? I haven't tested the waterproof claim yet but I believe it because it's constantly playing on a humid environment and hasn't shorted itself out. I wish the buttons were a little easier to see. Maybe if they were a different color or something. It fits in my palm, in my bag, on any surface and has an included wrist strap that feels well made and sturdy. Onto the moment you've all been waiting for.... Regarding the sound quality, it's a 9/10. For a little speaker like this, it's surprisingly loud. I bought this to block out my neighbours stomping and fighting and you know what? They can hear it too. This functions exactly as intended. Customer service also followed up on two occasions to make sure I was satisfied. For all of this, I think the price point is unbelievably low and I'm glad I took advantage of the sale. The only thing I'd say that could be changed is make some more colors please! They only had black and red when I bought mine but I'd love a metallic blue, glittery snow white or even a bedazzled version. I'd love some accessories to go with my speaker as well. I know there's a case but what if you could make something like how Crocs has the little rubber thingamabobs to accessorize your shoe? Or a little buddy that you can attach with a suction cup like a king frog, or a wizard turtle?

Perfect for simple, casual use
I bought this to use as an alternative to AirPods or headphones because there are times when I want to hear my podcasts while I do household chores, but I don't want to be closed off from the world and unaware of people trying to talk to me.The Oontz speaker appears to deliver just what I need. It's small- about 4" long and 2" high- and is a breeze to connect to via Bluetooth. It's light but still feels well-made and the volume is plenty loud for podcasts. The battery charges quickly and seems to last for days of 2 hour usage, on average. I have yet to drain the battery completely.I have listened to music on it, as well, and it seems to play out everything just fine, but at this small size, I wouldn't expect thumping bass and glass-shattering volume capabilities, but for background listening or casual playout, music reproduction seems to be satisfactory. In all, as a 95% podcast listener, I would highly recommend the Oontz speaker.

Good little speakers
tl;dr: I'm happy with the sound and the build quality, as well as the ease of use. I'll keep them, assuming they don't auto-bork within the warranty period._________I've had these speakers for a couple of days (bought two to use either in dual or stereo setup). They are smaller than typical inexpensive square plastic computer speakers and weigh quite a bit more. They also sound better, unless your PC speakers cost more than $30 and include a sub-woofer.They are easy to connect via Bluetooth on both PC and Mac. I haven't tried them on Linux or a phone. The stereo connection function is easy as well. The included instruction booklet is clear and concise. I haven't tried the Dual function yet. I haven't tried them farther than 10 feet (approx. three meters) apart from the sound source or from each other. Things like walls and the transmitting power of the Bluetooth circuit in the audio device are going to have an impact on range and performance. The volume control is + or - 16 steps, and the little red power light on the control end of the speaker will blink once when you reach either 0% or 100%. TIP: Turn the speaker on and, before you connect it to an audio source or device, reduce the volume to 0% then press "+" eight times to take the volume to around 50%. You may also want to adjust the audio volume on your device to a lower level until you get a feel for the speaker. My guess is that there is quite a bit of audio processing and active EQ going on inside the speakers, and it favors and boosts bass frequencies. If you have EQ presets on your audio device, then hopefully there will be a few that roll-off or attenuate the bass. They'll have names like Spoken Word, Bass Reduce, Treble Boost, etc.For my purposes, these are "micro field" speakers that I'll use to listen to music or news while sitting at a laptop. I also tried them out as speakers for an audio device on a bookshelf. They work just fine for background music and podcasts, and fill the room. Obviously the won't move as much air as good quality bookshelf speakers but the sound is clear and pleasant. If I were going to crank up the volume I'd decrease the bass EQ on the music player first. The slightly raised control buttons are easy enough to memorize - a good thing given that they are the same matte black rubber as the rest of that end of the speaker. I suppose I would use little stickers or a white-on-black tape in label maker if I wasn't going to be handling them often. The speakers power off after a little while (haven't timed it yet) if there is no source audio, so using them to have a louder phone alarm in the morning probably work out.

Good little speaker
I have had this speaker for 10 months and I have not had a single issue with it, However, I do wish the battery would last longer. Also, it is not incredibly loud, so I would not use it if you are going to be more than 25ft away from it, you can still hear it but some things may be hard to make out. I bought two other speakers before I bought this one (Anker and a small JBL) and they only lasted about a month before they started having problems. I also one of the Oontz Angle 3 speakers a few months ago to have something a little louder for outside, and I have not any problems with it and the battery lasts longer. I f you want something that you are going to listen to a lot of music and want more volume I would look at the Oontz Ultra, it seems to have at little more bass than the Angle 3. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of them. Seems like a pretty good brand, great value for what you get.

Great little portable speaker!
I have had the Oontz that is twice this size for a couple years and it sounds great and is so convenient to use. I was surprised that this little guy sounds just as good! And takes up less space, is lighter weight, and cheaper!Admittedly I'm no audiophile, but for use in smaller spaces or while camping it's really remarkable.
