I was surprised to find that this product was made locally here in Iowa! When I ordered, the shipping information indicated that it would be several days/a full week before I would receive the flour. Imagine my surprise the next day, when my husband brought the mail in and I had a very heavy package for me, that had shipped from Iowa. I had no idea what it might be, until I opened it, and saw the flour. They have a great selection to choose from. I have been very happy with my purchases.

This rye flour is really delicious. It tastes fresh and nicely flavored. It is whole grain but it doesn’t have an overly strong taste. I’ve made several loaves mixing it with white bread flour and they come out very tasty. I like the resealable bag, too.

I ran out of my usual rye flour and ordered this one as a replacement. I am not sure as to the exact reason, but the starter just didn’t work out well with it and the bread tasted a bit off than usual. I suspect that the flour is of a more coarse grind than usual bread quality. Will have to deal with it, but will be looking for alternatives...

Tasty and fresh, great for 100% rye sourdough bread. Using rye flour for the first time. Will need to compare to other sources as well.

Decent flavor, but outrageous shipping charge I didn't detect, or I never would have purchased. Packaged poorly resulting in me cutting resealable package with scissors. Larger warning w/ instructions where to cut might help avoid this, esp. if they pinched product off to opposite side and instructed graphically where to cut envelope open.
