Surprised in the poor presentation
I was so surprised no one spoke up about the way this kit is put together. The floss comes with a piece of heavy paper with holes in it and the symbol above the hole as a guide to use the correct floss color on the bee. Well, the floss is going to be a mangled mess by the time you get even part way through the project. If any of the floss comes out of the holes, you have no way of knowing which symbol it goes with. To be certain you do not run into trouble with getting the floss knotted or tangled beyond use, you will have to redo the poorly done design for charting the colors.I plan to take each out and place the individual colors in a "snack" baggie and put the symbol on a heavy weight paper. Each will be about a total of about 35, but I see no way of assuring yourself a safe finished product leaving it as is. I have only just started and it has already started to tangle and look a mess.I have many years of cross stitching in my history and using all sorts of fabric from the average fabric to linen, and usually use my own DMC floss. On occasion I have ordered kits, but this one beats all I have seen as far as being below average in the packaging of the flosses. Very disappointed and for this reason, I would not recommend it to anyone else. Especially considering the price. It has come down considerably since I first started looking at it, but it is still a bit high for what you get. I am hoping the finished product will make the remembrance of inconveniences of less importance when completed.Update: The floss holes have several symbols that do not apply to this particular bee pattern. But, there was one hole that does have the symbol on the chart (bee pattern) that is missing. I will have to reorder the kit to get the color because the kit only has the symbols listed and no DMC number for reference. Had they taken the time to put the DMC number on the strip of flosses and symbols, you could either buy or check in your stash and see if you have the color. There is no way to know, even the shade of the floss missing. But the pattern has that symbol quite a lot, so it should not be fudged as far as picking a color willy-nilly. This kit has been a disappointment.

Difficult and frustrating, but worth the effort.
This kit is frustrating BUT WORTH IT! The floss has no color labels and is delivered on a card with symbols only. Be very careful to not mix them up or you'll never get it sorted. The company will not offer help identifying their floss colors. The pattern is detailed which makes for a really pretty finished piece, but working it is difficult. Colors are very sparse and scattered. I could not have done this if I didn't make a copy of the chart and mark off colors as I worked them. However, it's really beautiful and I'm glad I stuck with it. Note: I made up my own border instead of the one in the chart... for an anatomically correct honey bee, it HAD to have hexagons instead. I also used a different font for the lettering. The bee is exactly as charted. Gorgeous.

Not worth the cost
Don’t buy this product!!! Not enough supplies, instructions are weak, no response to emails...significantly over priced.

Complete set with clear instructions
Haven’t completed it yet but am pleased with the pattern and materials. I would have liked to know that the fabric is either 18 or 22 count (I prefer 14 count). The description does not specify the count. My fault for not noticing. It will make a beautiful cross-stitch when finished.

High quality but must be expert to complete
This is a truly stunning project. I didn’t realize how difficult the black would be to work with. Purchased a neck light to be able to see it well enough to work on.

Bee-utiful
Lovely design! I’m frugal with my use of floss and with the exception of one color have enough remaining to stitch a second one.

Adhesive tape holding thread together is sticky
The tape used to hold the thread together is sticky, hard to remove and tore some of the ends of the thread. For the $ spend on this project, I feel an extra strand of thread could be included. There really isn't a margin for error. While it is nice that the thread is divided by symbol with the paper chart, a color description would be helpful.

Very nice and good quality
Unlike some kits I have purchased material is good quality especially thread. Easy to follow instructions.

Good design.
This is a big sewing project. Everything is in the kit, threads, instructions etc. I'm going to stitch each insect as individual pieces,as it's far too large to have them all together as one picture. That ismy personal preference. The patterns require a lot of concentration. Will take a long time to finish, but enjoying the task. I've started with the ladybird.
