Decoding The QURAN (A Unique Sufi Interpretation)

Twins "Quran and Human"
I was looking for the reason of my existence. What is this place named Earth?Who is this man looking at me on the miror? What is this body that i'm finding myself in or with it all the time?Who is god? What is the relation between god and me? What was going on in this stage named life?Words were the only clues to understand and describe my own world.I was reading different translations of Quran and comparing them. But it was like a building size puzzle to understand what was Quran saying because i'was missing the main point. When I started to read "Decoding the Quran" i realized that i was looking at my imagination which was built up by my self illusion when i was talking about my world. What was the thing that called "self" ? And what was my "self" ? Who were the others as a "self"? Were they and was i each other or "self" was the unique entity? The main point was a sentence :" There is no god only ALLAH ! " ...All about the existence was a word "ALLAH!"So what was the nature of Allah? We were thinking about our god as "he !" but Allah was the only word which were including all dimensions of existence! In sura of Ikhlas Allah was describing the existence as Ahad and Samad. In "Decoding the Quran" Ahmed Hulusi was decodig AHAD as an infinite, limitless and indivisible,non-dual ONENESSand SAMAD as an absolute Self-Sufficient One beyond any need or defect, free from the concept of multiplicity, and far from conceptualization and limitation. The one into whom nothing can enter, and the One from whom no other form of existence can come out.In sura of Sajda number seven, eight and nine "Decoding the Quran" was doing something ground brakingly different from the other Quran translations. It was associating word "brain" ("self" was a print out of brain according to Ahmed Hulusi)and the word Allah by these sentences :7. It is He who has created everything perfectly! He began the creation of man from clay (the eggs).8. Then He made his lineage from a basic fluid (sperm).9. Then He proportioned him (formed his brain such that the neurons evaluate the various wavelengths to manifest the meanings of the Names) and breathed into him from His own Spirit (the act of breathing into something goes outward from within, that is, the manifestation of the Names within the data level of the brain is referred to as `Allah's spirit' in existence)... And He made for you hearing (perception), sight (vision) and hearts (the reflectors of the meanings of the Names to the brain - heart neurons)... How little you thank (evaluate)!"Human brain" was the incognition of "Ahad and Samad Self" in the world of perceptions."Ahad and Samad Self" was the only entity and my perceptions nature were dividing it into pieces as I ,you,he etc...In Quran there is a sura named INFITAR and means "when the sky is split apart !""Decoding the Quran" by Ahmed Hulusi has been spliting apart of my sky (perception of existence named myself)since the day that i've started to read.

I feel deep pity for most born Muslims who completely misunderstand the 'Situation' and I can heartily recommend this book
My first EVER review on Amazon ... frankly because I don't get any tangible benefit from Reviewing, as compared with Ebay where Reviewing Rewards You! ... anyways ... I am a Muslim revert of over a decade and observe the Fard Prayers etc. I feel deep pity for most born Muslims who completely misunderstand the 'Situation' and I can heartily recommend this book. As one Reviewer noted, it has some very strange uses of Capitalization and Bold Text in a failed attempt to stress key points .... also the Author (may Allah reward him) has a little too much confidence in modern theories that are just about to be dismantled e.g. Super String Theory (not referred to in the text, but terms such as 'quantum' and 'holographic existence' are taken straight from Susskind and Ed Witten's M Theory etc.) - yet this text still manages to be a CLEAR REMINDER of Allah's Message and His s.w.t. own words, that the Quran is Metaphor for matters above our understanding. Please remember that word when reading - METAPHOR - and you are SURE to do well. P.s. what do YOU think of my CAPITALIZATION? ha ha

Appreciate the attempt to enlighten
There is so much difference in what I see in the bible and this explanation of the Quran... Good, but would like to see something that starts with the breakdown of the basis for the Quran, why it was written, the breakdown of each part of the book... As a strong believer in a higher power and a strong Christian background, I would like to see where the two religions are similar and where they are different. My concern is work is well written, but in a mid-eastern way, which tries to explain the terms and language. Unfortunately I would like to see something that starts with a "big picture" outline of the Quran, the basis and foundation for the book, what it has and shares, and then a more in depth of how it was assembled, when and why. So far I've not found that, but am only roughly 1/4 of the way into the book.

Stay Away, Hulusi makes a confusing mess. Read the Oxford Translation instead
This translation by Hulusi is horrendous and is best to be avoided - as it will confuse any unfortunate reader that stumbles across it. I understand the author may have had good intentions, but don't waste your time, and may Allah swt forgive him. I study the exegesis of the Quran and whilst I prefer the leanings of tassawaf (the sufi path), this is not it. When compared to almost every other translation I have read ( Abdul Haleem, Asad, Yusuf Ali, Pickthal, Saheeh International, Farooq, Maulana etc) - this utterly fails.i.e. The opening supplication and verse of every Surah begins with the "bismillah"Hulusi: "By the one who is denoted by the name Allah ( who created my being with His names in accord with the meaning of the letter 'B'), the Rahman, the Rahim.Haleem ( Oxford): In the name of God, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy!Yusuf Ali: In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.Saheeh: In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. If you are going to read the noble Quran and you value your time ( and you don't want to wade through half a dozen translations like I have), then go for Abdul Haleem's translation, as it's published by Oxford and is endorsed by English Speaking Imams across North America.

This "book" is mind-blowing
This book is mind-blowing, it manages to create a clear understanding of the most complicated topics and has given me a whole new mesmerising insight into the world of Islam and Sufism inparticular. One of the problems of other quran interpretations is the fact that it feels quite dated. However, in this instance, the author portrays a modern and intelligent explanation of complex issues and thus I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in religion as a whole.Kartal Bicer

I'm not muslim but wanted to have a look at the Quran. Many of the translation around just seemed dead and archaic. This Sufi translation I found to be quite inspiring.
