Exactly What I Needed
This adapter is perfect for what I needed. I love that you can pop the adapter off the base, so you don’t lose the flash feature. The adhesive is strong and secure, so there’s no worry about it shifting or falling off. It really enhances and expands what I’m able to do with my point-and-shoot, and I’ve gotten some of my favorite shots thanks to it. On top of that, their customer service is stellar — they went above and beyond to help me when I was in a bind. Highly recommend.

Comes off in warm climates. It's good, when it stays on.
It is a good product given that there are not many options for filter attachment solutions to a point-n-shoot. If you live in a hot environment and you're constantly swapping filters or you use a variable ND filter you WILL eventually wear down the adhesive. If you have the camera baking in a warm car, it will come off on the first twist of the adapter. When it comes off once entirely and you have to haphazardly realign the filter on the field it will never stick as strong as it did when you first installed it. Lensmate does provide replacement adhesive but I have not ordered them. Most likely it is the exact same adhesive prone to softening to heat. Edit: The replacement stick-on adhesive rings are strong as it was brand new.

Good investment to protect front of your RX100
I feel this is a $15 product but works well. My main reasons for purchasing were to protect the front casing that surrounds the lens cover as after owning a couple RX100”s the front cover starts to fail closing and opening due to the front cover being damaged dented unnoticed. If you had a couple of these you must of experienced this at some point. If you have this problem inspect closely and I bet you’ll see the front metal casing have some sort of dent. How this happens I’m not exactly sure but my guess is when storing or packing with other photo gear it’s possible the front area of camera is sensitive Little impact causing unnoticed dent or damage around the front lens .This dent disrupts the closing of the lens cover which is common in the RX100 . Buying this protects that area and prevents this from happening saving a costly fix. A bonus is that I get to add filters. I highly recommend if you have an RX100

Product does not work
Total and complete waste of money. Lens receiver does not stick to camera lens - detaches when you try to unscrew the filter. Installed very easily without any difficulty, but adhesive absolutely does not hold. Don’t waste your money on this inferior product. Very disgusted.

Great concept but seems to lack sufficient adhesion
I jumped on this as I wanted a way to use filters with my recently purchased camera & to protect the lens. Two days into a 3-week trip: I took my camera out for the day in a very small pack. There wasn't much movement of the camera in the pack as the pack was small. But when I returned to my room this evening the device was detached. I wonder if it would have worked better if I had kept my camera in a very small confined case (but is there a case that works with this camera when this device is on?). Perhaps so. I would recommend that people try keeping their camera in a small case (if it exists) when not in use. That might help. Don't know if I will purchase another device to test this idea. But I am currently overseas so wouldn't be able to replace it now even if I wanted to. I have applied small strips of duct tape (never leave home without it!) as a hopeful fix. Will see how this works tomorrow ...

very nice extension to rx100 vi
applied easily, holding fast. great adapter to then add 52mm filters and additional lens cap. filter not included but i have stacked several macro filters together and it still holds. nice addition to rx100 vi camera to extend the range and usability of the lens.

Great addition for Sony RX-100 Vii
This product is terrific. It transforms the Sony RX100 from a very good travel camera to something very very close to a replacement for an APS-C like the 6400 (which I’ve owned) and - dare I say it - even the A7iii (I’ve compared images from both). Of course the IQ of the larger sensor cameras is better, but since I’m not going for professional level print output, the lightness and smallsize makes the RX100 better for me for travel. I do mostly landscape photography and had missed the ability to use ND filter to smooth water flow and polarizer for skies and ice glare - post-processing gets close, but doesn’t do a good a job. Now, with the lensmate, I can do both. VERY satisfying. I can’t vouch for its long-term durability but on a one-week trip to Iceland the Lensmate system worked very well. I’d advise getting additional adapter rings for all your most-used filters, then you can just bayonet them on and off. Thanks, Lensmate!

filter stuck in adapter
I had one like this for my RX100M1 it works well and had buttons to remove it which I like better. No other issues. I got an RX100M6 and this adapter. My polarizing filter is stuck in it. I am afraid to use tools to remove it. I got another filter I want to use but can't.
