Good holiday/ winter time book!
A fun book for any age ! Daughter loved reading this during winter and loved the illustrations. Funny reminds me of the book about swallowing flys. Cute book for 8/9 year olds but does have some big words that might need a little help but overall great book

Cute...but makes it seem as though it's funny to swallow things you shouldn't
It's a cute story, don't get me wrong. But, it's one you definitely want to explain to your kiddo at the end that they shouldn't put things in their mouth that don't belong. The woman throughout the story swallows various objects (coal, a pipe, etc.). It's a funny read, just one that might send mixed messages to a little one without added explanation from the reader.
