The third chapter detailing Cold Harbor's operations in Yemen is an explosive and thrilling ending to this latest iteration of Black Powder: Red Earth. The description promises absolute chaos and this story absolutely delivers. Elite Private Military Contractors clash with ruthless ISIL fighters in the war torn streets of Yemen while their corporate overseers make back room deals with the Saudis and Energy Hedge Funds in order to gain profit, influence, and access. The result is a brutal war with multiple sides and shifting alliances.As with the previous chapters in the series, the noir-style look of still impresses me. The sheer intensity of the action and attention to detail on part of the artists makes the book a page turner that I could read over and over again. The numerous characters, in addition to the various weapons and tools used by both contractors and insurgents, are wonderfully illustrated, with no corners cut on showcasing the action. While this is considered to be an "indie" comic, the quality of this graphic novel sets it high above most of Marvel and DC's offerings. This also extends to how the characters are portrayed.The main contractors of Cold Harbor's Special Projects Group have never been saints, but the latest chapter shows Amp, Hesher, and Crane going to increasing drastic measures to capture and slaughter their foes. Unlike the usual military fiction stories, these men aren't about saving the day for truth, justice, and Uncle Sam. In the end, it's all about business of war and they are very good at their job.So whether you are interested in reading a compelling tale about the privatization of warfare, you must add the latest chapter of Black Powder: Red Earth Yemen. If you haven't read the previous stories yet, pick up the entire series. If you can, try to find the previous stories about Cold Harbor's operations.

I've been following this series and the creators since the original Book 1 and they never cease to impress. As always, great product inside and out. I'm dead set for the game and other content they are rolling out. There is so much detail and they go to painstaking lengths to put reality into their product. Go to the patreon... you wont be disappointed.

Again.......these dudes have killed it. Honestly one of my favorite series. The detail the Jon Chang and crew put into these is unbelievable. Book three is on point. GET YOUR COPY NOW!!!!!

Gorgeous artwork and a unique style paint a surreal picture of PMC driven warfare in the not so distant future. Using gear and weapons taken from current, real-world manufacturer's and models.

This is an awesome series. Got me hooked from the first set. I wanted to give it 5 stars but Amazon packaged it poorly and it arrived dog eared. Still, looking foward to reading the whole series again.
