Just what you'd expect from K&N.
I've ordered many of this exact part over the years. This is a real K&N part so it perfectly matches the old one it replaced.If you like other K&N oiled filters, you'll like this one too. It comes with a replacement hose clamp in case you need another one. I always reuse the old one and just put the new on on the shelf. The clamps don't really go bad but I suppose I have spares if I ever need one.

Had one in truck for 7 years, finally bit the bullet and got the new one, glad I did, easy replacement and you can tell the difference.

2005 Tahoe
I originally had a AEM intake system but the dryflow filter seemed more like the paper filters due to having to constantly clean them. I decided to switch to the K&N, and i should have bought K&N to begin with, this filter will fit any intake with the diameter specified for tahoe, I used this filter on the stock AEM chrome tubing and fits wonderful, actually better. The airflow is way better over AEM, because it does allow more air through. Some say to hold filter up to the light and you'll see "holes", well true but very small. In my opinion this allows for better air flow and anyway have you seen the factory intake and the gaps where crap can come in!! If your wanting to filter to micron then stick to paper filters i guess, which are useless, if you want more air then go with K&N, nothing better. For intake tubing go with aluminum, and stay away from plastic, any BRAND!

Kind of expensive, but used in K&N's cold air intake kits for the Crown Vic and Marauder
The RF-1041 is a typical K&N conical filter, and it comes with a new Breeze hose clamp that uses a coated steel worm gear bolt so it is not completely stainless steel.The RF-1041 is part of K&N's typhoon kits for the Crown Vic and Marauder, so it is sized for a Ford 4.6L 2V/4V V8 engine. I built my own short ram intake kit using this filter on my Crown Vic, and it definitely makes the engine growl at higher throttle openings. It really wakes up the engine, but you will want a tune to correct the MAF transfer function. It generally leans it out by approximately 10%.Overall: 5/5 stars, a bit pricey but has good quality and is covered by K&N's warranty.
