Very happy with my purchase

I've used this as both storage for regular backups and attached directly to a router to function as a mini media server. In both cases it performed flawlessly, and depending on what kind of file sizes you're working with you probably won't find yourself running out of space anytime soon. Speed is average for this kind of drive, but it's a lot more durable & travel friendly than others.

High quality. Easy use.Updated 2024. Drive failed last year after very little use. Was used as a backup for data storage. Data was only updated every 3 to 4 months and then drive was put in a safe. Very few running hours on it even though it was 5 years old.

I’m using mine as extended storage for my PS4 and it works Perfectly. This is simple to use, just plug into the USB drive and Boom, you’re good to go. No power cord needed since it draws off the USB port. Very quiet and fast!

It's everything I expected it to be. I have an older version which was a bit bulky. This new version is thinner, faster, and works fantastically. Love it.

I ordered this drive because I liked the orange color and it was 2TB. However it has extremely slow transfer speeds, moving 5 GB worth of data to it takes 2-3 hours. Would not recommend this drive due to that.

I have several (in several colors) and they haven't let me down. I travel overseas and take them with me for backing up (or having another copy of) items that are important to me; they weigh almost nothing, and work like a charm. If you have a newer laptop with USB-C, be sure to take an adapter from USB/micro to USB-C -- to plug this in, as it comes with USB-micro cable.

It may be that I am not very technologically savvy (I'm not entirely inept), but I've only had it about three days and it has already been a source of stress for me. First, I tried to format it to my mac. I went to the disk utility and erased it for mac extension (journaled), then the hard drive stopped showing up on my finder and it said all 2TB were used up. I was finally able to figure it out a day later. Now, I transferred my gopro videos to the hard drive and when I try to play them it says quicktime cannot play it, then everything from my hard drive disappears. I have to force eject the drive and hope all my data didn't disappear. When I reconnect the drive, the videos work for a bit only to stop working again. Then I need to do the process all over again. What a head ache!! I bought this hoping it would be useful on a trip to Mexico I am going on today. Now I'm concerned this will prove to be more of a pain than it will be useful.
