Nature2 DuoClear Mineral Cartridge for DuoClear Pool Sanitizers

Nearly a year ago we had our new pool built. It runs on an "ozonated mineral water" filtration system. The system uses a light alongside a Fusion Nature 2 unit, which this mineral cartridge fits into. I made sure to replace the initial starter cartridge that only lasts a couple weeks. This cartridge lasts for six months, and I will be changing it religiously on this biannual schedule.We had another pool at our previous home which had an old filter, requiring us to load the pool up with chlorine tabs. It was a pain to keep clean, with algae constantly coming back. I always had to scrub the sides of the pool, and clean out the pool filter. No matter what algae would return.It hasn't been a year yet, but so far the results of this ozonated mineral system have been amazing. Never have I seen any algae in the pool. The Fusion system takes a single chlorine tab which lasts at least a week if not two weeks. Even when I have let the chlorine disappear and sit for a while I have not had a problem. I have yet to even clean out the filter, which I will definitely do before too long. Even so, the pool has remained easy to take care of and algae free. I assume that this is thanks to these mineral cartridges. The pool is pebble tech as well which is supposed to help. The only chemical I have ever had to use was PH down. That was once. I am no expert, but I do know what our old pool was like to take care of. It is well worth it to go with the ozonated mineral system from what I can tell. The quality of the water is amazing too. Yes, there is a small amount of chlorine in it, because there has to be, but you do not notice it at all. Nice clean and clear water that doesn't smell like bleach.

It has been about a year since my pool was built and this is the first time I have had a Nature2 Clorinator installed. After about 8 months I noticed a thin algae film on the steps where the sweeper can't get to. For the next few months I swept the algae and constantly checked the chemical balance, doing my best to keep a balance. In addition to the algae I noticed the water was not as clear as it was in the first 8 months. I finally decided to take out the manual and read up on the Nature2 and realized I had not replaced the original starter cartridge. My goof. I ordered one on Amazon, considerably cheaper then the pool supply stores, and replaced the old filter. The next day the pool was noticeably clearer and after about a month my algae film has not shown up, it's totally gone. Replacement is now on my calendar every 6 months. It really works!!

Pricey but worth it when it help pool water to keep clear and stabilized for 6 months

The product says it is discontinued by the manufacturer. Our pool is one year old and has a Fusion Inground system that uses this cartridge so I called the manufacturer. I was told the cartridges are not being discontinued, only the DuoClear delivery system they were originally designed for, which the Fusion2 replaced.Some say these are not needed and chlorine alone should do the trick. This may be true, but where I live it is very hot and we are very prone to algae outbreaks. I have been using this and not had as hard of a time so I will keep using it.

We use these and rarely have to adjust our pool chemicals other than chlorine. I do think they are expensive for only lasting one season. I guess I’m saving on buying all the other chemicals to keep the pool balanced!

This cartridge is used in our pool when it opens. Better pricing here than thru my local pool company. I purchased this before the pool is opened so it is on hand when the company comes to open the pool. Works perfectly and shipped fast!

We have used Nature 2 filter on our pool for years. We replace the cartridge prior to start up each year. Never had the water turn green or any other issue. We are sold on it.

I’m not sure how this thing works, but my family, friends, and I agree; it does! The water is clearer, does not smell of chlorine, and definitely doesn’t dry out our skin like before.Although it advertises to last 6 months, my plan is to replace it yearly in late spring.

I have ~26k gallon pool and have a mineral cartridge and auto chlorinator that uses these. I was skeptical at first when I bought the unit, but have used noticeably less chemicals than previously. Haven't done the math on if the dollars are worth it compared to the chemical savings, but does seem to help.

The product is good and very easy to install; we have no issue with the product. The problem was that we order two, were charged for two and then received one. We had to go through the trouble of notification and want a few more days for the order issue to be corrected, which it was, so were were happy about that.

I use this product and chlorine. I do not know if it is doing what it clams to do. I only use this because it came with my chlorine dispenser. I attempted to keep the chlorine at .5 ppm after chlorine shock startup like the manual instructed but at that level I started to see algae growth. So now I keep my pool at 1.5 to 2 ppm chlorine and that corrected algae the issue.

These cartridges are a great price and I enjoy ordering on Amazon and having them delivered to my front door. Each spring we add one after cleaning and sanitizing the pool. The clarity and light reflection this cartridge promotes is amazing and our water is crystal, sparkling clear. I will continue to buy.

I always buy one of these each year to replace our existing cartridge for our salt water pool. I usually always save a decent amount of money by buying it through Amazon. Our local pool stores want at least $30 more every time. These are quality cartridges that work perfectly with our salt water system.
