Dictionary of Diplomacy
I was already fascinated by writings of Mr Henry Kissinger, this book further enhanced that fascination. For students of international politics, this book is a must recommendation. It encapsulates 400 years history of international system that began with 1648 Westphalian Treaty and continues under UN. Recently I started reading another great work on diplomacy by former foreign secretary of India Mr Shyam Saran. He has pressingly quoted World Order of Mr Kissinger. This is testimony enough of importance of Mr Kissinger's scholarship on the subject.

An enjoyable read
The book could have benefitted from a discussion on the role of economics in establishment of a world order and the relation between economics and foreign policy. E.g. TPP and RCEP, OBORIt ignores incidents of American intervention like Salvador Allende in Chile particularly as it contradicts both the the Westphalian rules and Wilsonian framework for American foreign policy. This example could have been used for analysis of American Idealism and geopolitical imperatives. In any case the book was thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

Very reflective. Opens up many vistas of foreign affairs and policies. Modern states can benefit much from it. It is very interesting to reflect in today's global world how much we can benefit by reading the development of world power starting from the Treaty of Westphalia after Thirty Years War in Europe. I would give it five and a half stars.

The book excels in analysis of events and developments of the past 300 years. Only Henry Kissinger with his erudition and sharp intellect can write such a book. I thank Amazon for enabling me to read it.V.S. Thyagarajan

Great book, poor binding
Brilliant book. But the binding was poor and the papers started to come off on the first read itself.

Inevitable read for student of International Relations
No words to express. A must read for students of IR and avid readers to understand how the World Order evolved- Multipolar to Bipolar to Unipolar and evolving.

Great book but bad publisher
The book is great (had borrowed and read it from a friend before). The book quality on the other hand is garbage. It seems like the entire book was photocopied from the original. The paper quality is also bad.
