Baseline Level
I used my 4g LG. The first problem I encountered was "Where?' and "How?" That is at Play Store, type Virtual Reality in the search, and some choices will come up. About the roller coasters: This isn't oneself sitting on a couch with hands up as if hanging onto the bar of a roller coaster controlling fun screaming. This is the trickle down from entities such as the US Army which has VR for its engineers to develop machinery in training. This is the normal societal baseline that has been developed. This means it is individuals strutting their talent and skill. One gazes in awe at their art work perfected and ability to move the user along a path. It's an early stage from the past if one is familiar with Big Fish, not quite cartoons, however, not the equal to some of its development. Okay, so you know now that you are about to experience the baseline. What to see? One is a handful of roller coasters, on the right a screen will emerge with 3 other type of choices. One of the choices is outer space. I highly recommend that one. On the internet, there is google arts & culture, one downloads the app to enjoy a VR experience. It was a disaster for me. It might not be for you. I became so flustered trying to work it, that I even experienced claustrophobia and had to put down my VR/phone. I then experienced the desire that VR headsets be a plug and play with our computer screens instead of phones. We do need as consumers to push that idea along. The google cardboard does work. I found the head strap badly fitting which may be my own assembly fault. It's easy to hold like a picture viewer, however, one's phone as the medium is a pain in the butt. Expect to be flustered with the screen going dark on oneself, attempts to reach through and tap its screen, etc. What a mess! However, one needs to be on the baseline. Life is changing fast and being updated to this new arena was/is important to me. Expect eye strain. VR is a little rough as one gazes about.

Good for getting your feet (eyes?) wet.
The cardboard is impregnated with something that feels waxy, probably makes it fairly water resistant, but it means the piece of adhesive foam provided for the nose piece (which is way too small) will not stick at all. Without the foam (and probably with it since it is so small) wearing it for even a short while will abrade and cut your nose. The day after I tried it out, my nose kept itching, when I saw a mirror I found it was because I had a scab on the bridge of my nose where it had been rubbed raw. In spite of that a good value, low cost way of testing to see if VR works for you ( I was expecting motion sickness ). However if you like the VR experience and intend to spend significant time wearing VR goggles, you will probably want to spend some extra money and get a fancier headset that has appropriate padding. I did find the folding and velcro strap headband placement somewhat ingenious, when refolded to be put in the box it is much smaller and would provide a measure of portability the fancier headsets lack.

Too blurry to use with no other redeeming qualities
Of course it's going to be uncomfortable. It's a piece of cardboard. But you're not looking for a bougie VR experience. You're looking to spend $10 or less on something that WORKS. Unfortunately, this headset does not. First off, the image is incredibly blurry. The alignment if the lenses is just off enough that you see double of items, and the image is not quite right and takes you out of any VR immersive effect. It simply does not give you a VR experience. Second, there is no way to adjust the settings, and there is no QR barcode for use in Google Cardboard to load the proper settings. So you're basically left with a cheap piece of cardboard that gives you a VR experience that makes you feel like your eyes are constantly crossed, with no redeeming qualities such as comfort or build quality to make up for it. Don't waste your $8.99 on this.

Uncomfortable but Works
I only gave this a 4 star review because I found the foam nose strip doesn’t stay in place therefore making it sit uncomfortably on my nose. The foam strip you have to apply yourself doesn’t stay and keeps slipping to reveal the cardboard that scratches your nose. Otherwise, the view is okay. I’d rate the eye pieces at 80% due to them being a little blurry. You get what you pay for. I’d get a better quality one next time.

Does the job, but very uncomfortable
Does the job for the price tag. Cannot be worn for longer duration, as it is very uncomfortable. Easy to assemble and use.

It's O.K, but not comfortable.
It does do as advertised, it does it pretty well, but the comfort is really bad. Specifically in the nose area, not only does it hurt when you put it one, but in taking off after a while of use it hurts allot. The hard cardboard digs into your nose bridge. It results in the feeling of having a bruise there which doesn't help in putting it on or taking it off. Also the phone isn't held in place tightly, and we had to affix scotch tape to the sides to keep it in the system if you move too quickly. while it is very low priced, if you want comfort your may want to purchase a more expsenive model.

Redesign
These are great for VR, just be ready to apply your craft skills. I need to add some flanges to hold the phone inside of the case, just in case the strap is not available. I love the experience. Great buy.

only reason it gets an extra star is because it is cheap and portable, but it cuts my nose, the phone slides out, the headband is pretty trash, all I can say, it's cheap for a reason

This product was really cool and I enjoyed using it for the limited time that I did, however you'll have to get used to being somewhat cross-eyed while using since I could not optimise it to display a clear and aligned picture. Nonetheless, it did the job. You get what you pay for I guess.
