My building requires me to badge in. The metal seems interfere with the scanning or the ability to get the card close enough. It is considerably more finnicky to badge in with this holder. I replaced this with a heavy duty (0.25mm) PVC badge envelope (with a plastic "zip", waterproof). I've had zero issues scanning with that. Pros: it looks NICE! the fit is great. Cons: The thing I need to do with it daily (scan my badge) is much more cumbersome. Won't be using and won't be gifting to anyone at work. It isn't "defective" but it won't meet my needs, sadly.

Badges for electronic keypads will not work in this holder
For some reason if you’ve got a badge that you use to badge in with, the reader can’t read your card when it’s in this tiny aluminum holder. Soooo...I can’t use it. Wish that was somewhere in the description.

The badge is stylish and has clean simple lines. It was important that both the front and back of the badge be visible and this one was perfect. The badge works outside of holder but not in the aluminum frame. A word of caution - test your RFID badge in the frame on multiple access point readers before you throw out the packaging.

Needed a new lanyard for my work badge as it was definitely showing wear. This set caught my eye because it was made out of aluminum so i knew it would be nice and durable. It is pretty easy to insert your ID thanks the sliding plastic sleeves. Looks very nice!

I use this for my school ID since I kept breaking the old plastic holder. I love it. I have bought another one for our school secretary.

This is the best $8 I've spent! Everyone ask where I got it. I work for a vey large Hospital and it is perfect to protect my badge! Plus looks awesome!

RFID Blocking (Unlisted Feature!)
This is essentially "RFID Blocking". I was looking for a better and more durable badge holder than the cheap ones the give us at my job. All of our access is determined by RFID, and this badge blocked this signal for 9 out of 10 tries. Its pretty, but basically ineffective for me.
